We have a new breeder in the house {welcome Mandala seeds and i hope this does not put a bad taste in your mouth. (sorry)We are not like this at IC }

I brought this up because the first post in there thread is a person begging for seeds. And i have had enough of all the begging in the chat room as well.

If you can afford to be on the internet then you can afford a pack of seeds.!
and if your mom wont lend you ten bucks or her credit card then you should not be here anyway !
And after reading numerous threads that were either repeats or hey ill test beans for ya if ya want . I feel that i needed to say something for i enjoy it here and dont want it to go to the kids. Personally i think stopping the weekly lotto would stop all this . Especially having to post 50 time to qualify!
When this place started we all came from different places all wanting the same thing to LEARN, to talk with people in simalar situations , and to teach .
NOT to begg !

I have to agree...what I think alot of these "kids" don't realize, is the amount of effort/time/money, that people put into making there beans...Gypsy and Company give free beans ALL THE time, honestly, if you cannot afford 100 dollars to grow the top grade cannabis, maybe, you shouldn't be growing....OR just go and get some Nirvana beans....

Yeah it's sad , i saw that post too saying "ill test for ya" , i think it's in pretty bad taste for people to be hounding a new breeder like that ... i mean it's one thing if they PM you , a hole other when you "ask" like that for a hand out.

and as far as the lotto goes , i think it's a good idea to close the thread.
before you know it this place will be overrun with "kiddies" trying to run up their post counts.

I agree with you on the begging part! This isnt the sidewalk! I do like the lotto, & it gives us a little bit of hope that we might win something! If the lotto stops, then all contests & games of the sort would have to be banned as well. If you are here to win seeds, then you are pretty lame! Plain & simple! Mandala Genetics seeds are at a very great price as is!!! I don't see why anyone who can afford soil & nutes should have a problem affording Mandala Genetics! Go to the street & beg, this is not the place for it! Better yet, go get a job & so you can buy some beans! But all in all even tho I will probably never win, I like the lotto & don't see what beggers have to do with the lotto. NYC still has a lotto right? Peace, SW

As far as the lotto goes, when I see someone enter with under 50 posts, who obviously didn't even read the title of the thread where the post minimum is stated, I just ignore them...skip over them. There are folks who have been playing the lotto since it began and I will continue to have the lotto until I decide otherwise. I am, however, going to start deleting their post in the lotto thread when an unqualified entry is made.

As far as seed begging goes....perhaps I will take some time a bit later today and post a thread about this, as it is clearly a breach of our forum guidelines.

STOP THE WEEKLY LOTTO....no way man its good fun i enter evryweek just cuz its fun, i never really expect to win i mean its only a free pack of seeds not like most here cant afford to buy em, id share the seeds if i won anyway.Now as far as asking for seeds go its like asking for seconds on a joint wen u shud always wait to be offered its just one of those stoner rules, well it is where i come from anyway....but people r always going to try it on to get free seeds...its wrong but they do it.....so take heed, dont ask wait until offered...peace

Well i understand that the weekly lotto is fun and i have played myself but is there anyway that the qualification for the lotto can be changed to some thing other than 50 post. Maybe 20 pics or two full grow reports. I am all for people having a good time and winning seeds and i do understand this is a business but it is also a information forum. SO can we atleast tryand make these people give us informative or something to look at .

I am not trying to be a party pooper but are you not tired of having to flip through pages of post like drool; good job , wow, etc. and i'm not saying that a pat on the back is not called for, but when it is the exact same thing that the last three post have said and they are three days apart come on read berfore you post.

Too all of you that are here just to for free seeds and you know who you are.
If you would take the time to read the post and the threads and get to know some people around here you will find that there are some very generous people on here and who knows you just might learn something.

It is deffo attracting a lot of peeps here who are only here for that specific reason who go around in 3 fdays and make 51 posts sayong "Nice"
one word, or saying pouinteless things that are nothing to do with it. It is happening now, and it sucks. It is getting bigger obviousl;y, and with more people, there has to be more assholes too, its the law of averages.
I think the rule ought to change, I have no idea what to, but some way to only allow members who contribute something to the site( I dont mean financially, i mean in threads, and knowledge. the whole point of the place) The seed lotto, great idea as it is...is obviously going to attract more knob-heads who want to make 51 posts and get theyre entry in.

even I have started getting the odd PM from people who are sort of dropping hints that they want seeds, telling a story about this and that, and ...u get me anyway... I dont think excluding people without pictures would be fair though as I had no camera for...well, Ive only just started posting pics after a year of being here, it didnt mean I wans tgrowing though.
I think it would be difficult to make a ruke that keeps the people who are only here for that away, and therefore it would be easier kjust to end the lotto. Hey , Y dont u ask every1, like, all who have been here more than 2 moths or 300 posts or something like that get a vote on wether ot stays or goes?
Only batting an idea around, and of course its not my buisness what u do, lol.
