So for about 2 weeks now my plants have looked like this.
About 3 weeks ago they got a little tip burn from the hot soil/nute combo. Inside the canopy looks normal/healthy. The downward canoe curve has me concerned (pic 1). Ideas appreciated! Here is the rundown: SOIL: How long has this problem been going on? 2 weeks What STRAIN are you growing? Church What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) clone What is the age of your plants? 3 months How Tall are the plants? 4 feet What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? veg What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) soil straight up What size pots are you using? outdoor in holes - used 1.5 cu ft organic soil per hole What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using? Humboldt Flower Products Mendo Mix soil planted in holes in the ground What Nutrient's are you using? FloraNova Grow How much of each with how much water? 1.5 ec 2 gal per plant How Often? Plain water at first (hot soil) then alternate plain water and nute feedings every 3-4 days - moisture meter says between dry-moist by day 3 What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? 1.5 What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? in the ground - don't know What method of pH test was administered? ph 6.3 via meter How often are you watering? every 3-4 days When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? last feeding 3 weeks ago - normally feed every other watering What size bulb are you using? sun What is the distance to the canopy? 92 million miles What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) 55-65 What is the canopy temperature? 70 What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) 72/49 What is the current Air Flow? looks like too much water (did it rain a lot?) or too cold temp for root system (seems improbable...).
Other than that looking really good man. Try treat one plant only with a light foliar feeding and stop water via roots for a day or two, and see if it corrects the issue. |

No rain here in quite some time. I have been watering every 3 or 4 days because when I put a moisture meter in the hole it reads that it needs water. I have 1.5 cu ft of good soil in each hole. Maybe the soil that I put in is drying but the plant is still getting water from the ground deeper down? I'll try what you suggested and see if they perk up a bit. This particular Church pheno stays very squat and usually turns purple. I have another pheno that is more "sativa like" in structure, doesn't turn purple, but smokes the same. I love them both! Thanks again! |

Yeah, possible that the roots go down so deep they reached some water on their own....
the more squat church is my favorite, sweeter and somehow more complex in the buquet.... |
