Mdanzigs "AeroGarden" experiment.

Okay, this was a gift from my wife. After this contraption made it on the cover of the past months "High Times" magazine, I decided to give it a try as well. In the "High Times" experiment, they used Lowryder II seeds. Pretty cool article. For my grow, I'm using small pheno M.L. seeds. These will for sure have to be pruned to fit, and probably bent as well, but this will be fun to try since Ive never actually used water to grow, Ive always used soil. Heres a pic after set-up. Seeds went in today, 7-31-08, so we will see how long they take to germ.

Well, Im the only one that I know for sure has a smaller pheno M.L.. Yes its the "Classic" "Aerogarden". I can add an arm that will give even more hieght for your plants to grow. As far as lights, it only has two 26 watt CFL compacts. However the deluxe arm/hood has many more lights. Anyways the article in Hightimes showed them doing just fine under the Aerogarden "Classic".

I couldn't believe how fast the basil grew in this thing, can't wait to see how it does with mj.

What plant setting do you have it at, and what is the light/pump schedule?
What are you planning to do about nutes and res changes/maintenance?

I'll use the tablets just how it says. The last 2 weeks, I wont use anything. I have it on the tomato setting, but you can over ride it and keep the lights/pump on 24 hours a day. I'll change the water every two weeks, and each time I change the water, I will add tablets. I'm going to try to stick to the same exact directions it gives for growing the tomatoes (lights/pump go on/off 16/8 each day). Its just for fun, so if I f*ck-up, then it's no big loss.
