A gift for my mom?
When I get my harvest I am going to get my mom a gift for helping me get started, what plants go good under indoor HIDS besides pot, she loves vegetables. I am going to get her a 400w setup so she can grow some killer legal plants!
Thanks for all suggestions as this isn't my department, i tried growing a few different types of plants before none are as good as my pot. What vegatables grow good under HIDS? Also could she profit from growing orchids? She likes tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, brocolli, canalope, etc. any advice for a strictly pot grower? also what about nutes? can she use my fox farm grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom? or is that just for pot? I also have beasty blooms, open sesame, and cha ching from fox farm as well for nutes. Thanks everyone!

Nutrients are just that, nutrients. Any brand should work just fine for growing, as long as you are actually feeding them, and not over ferting them.
I am just about sure you can grow anything in there... All a plant really needs is: Medium (Substrate) Food (Ferts) Water Light I can't give any specifics on WHAT plant to grow in a box, but I can tell you, if you can grow it in your garden, you can probably put it in indoor setup.

what Smoke68 said is right. almost any plant that can be grown outdoors can be grown indoors with a little practice.

Orchids don't need a lot of direct light though, so if you tried to put them in there it should probably be under other stuff.

Just try a few things she might like, after all plants only need Light, Water, Food and Air!
