Unhappy Flow germination / seedling problems...

Has anyone had trouble or success starting recently purchased Flow seeds?

I started 5, all cracked, but none really did anything beyond growing a cm or two of taproot, and apparently died after that. One barely made it above the surface and then died for no apparent reason.

So I started some bagseed in the same cups of coco afterward without any trouble, so I don't think there is a problem with the medium itself. Regardless, I am most hesitant to blame the seeds unless others are having the same issues.

Anyways, I started them with a 24 hour soak, then into cups of coco in a tray w/ heating pad. Never had any problems like this in the past, usually get 90% or better return on planted seeds.

That said, perhaps an alternate methodology might yield better results with the remaining seeds, so I am totally open to suggestions or ideas.

Pretty much same exact results recently with Matanuska. Something definitely seems wrong with the genetics.

Interesting...

I wonder if something happened to a recent delivery, perhaps the package was x-rayed or subjected to stress somehow.

Perhaps if one survives it will have super powers.. Or give ME superpowers when I smoke it!

This calls for the sci-fi smiley

Whats up mr b are path seem to be very parellel in the whart we choose to grow.
3 months ago i started 4 Mantanusk mist in rockwool No germ while the other 12 seeds i started all germed. two days a go i tried out 3 more seeds this time pregerming in a paper towel, at the same time i pregermd godberry from MOD and both are already in coco while the MM are still just barely cracked. I am really staring to get concerned.I am definitley not worried about the $ but i reallly wanted some of these gentics to try as they sound the bomb, and remind me of something i had smoked as a youngster(at least the pics look like it)
Can any SAG people chime in on this or anyone else having probs with thes genetics???

My theory is that the seed stock is pretty old, and they germinate much slower. This, possibly, means the same level of moisture that other seeds germinate happily and quickly in, might affect these seeds negatively? With the first five Matanuska Tundra we germinated, only one is growing right now, only one other actually made it to the surface, and this was with rock-wool, so when it is time to try the other five, we'll try straight into coco and try to keep things a little less moist.... Hopefully it works, because the last five were germinated with ten other seeds that showed absolutely no problems with that method of germination.....

Just posting to say that I received a response from Sagarmatha! I had explained the specifics of my setup and how only one germinated, compared to the great results of the other three strains I ran, and they responded back with the manner of germination they have best results with (loose coco), as well as an offer to replace the seeds with fresh stock. Most admirable!
