Hawaiian Snow or Church as a closet grow?

Hello,

First, I wanted to let you know that of all the coffee shops I visited in Amsterdam (a bunch), yours was my favorite by far. Nice service and atmosphere. I went to two of them...one was right next to a place called Rick's. and the other had the fish tank in the floor.

Anyway, I bought strains from your competitors as well, and Hawaiian Snow was my favorite. An amazing high. I loved it. I don't often get that kind of a high with what I have to buy around here.

I've seen your youtube on growing it, and I'm wondering if you could answer my question. I have a closet where height is not a problem, up to 7 feet. However, the depth is just 2 feet (sorry for my American measurments--that would be about 61 centimeters deep and 213 cm high). Would it be possible to grow one or two Hawaiian Snow plants at that depth?

I'm hoping you tell me "yes," because it was such an amazing smoke, and I would like to support such really friendly, cool folks.

Oh, my second question--if you answer "yes," how difficult of a grow is it? Is the plant relatively mold resistant? Does it give off a high amount of odor while growing? Any other newbie tips?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the support On_The_BBC!
The Hawaiian Snow is a bit of a stretchy plant, so in your case I would suggest a single plant and a SCRoG system (see https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=89947). Try to give very short veg-time, just enough to let the plant go through the net.

The Hawaiian Snow is very mould resistant, thanks to the top formation that tends to shoot out in a very irregular profile, allowing air through.
The odor is strong, intense, very sativa-like, I would advise an odor-controlling device such as ionizer, in addition to a good carbon filter.

I would keep the container on the 10-12 litres and SCRoG it.....

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. I think I've decided that I should wait on Hawaiian Snow until I get more experience in this stuff....so instead I'm going with "the Church," because I've heard indicas are good for us newbies.

any info on what to expect with this strain will be appreciated. I'll do some searching. I noticed it is the #1 ordered strain on sensibleseeds, so there must be something to it.

Few Church guidelines (remember: it can be fine-tuned to fit each particular growroom/closet, according to the variables involved).

Soil (average turf-perlite-fibre mix):
18hrs: EC 1.2-1.5
12hrs: week 1-5 EC 1.5-1.7, down to 1.5 from week 6 on. Extra P-K week 4-5. Flush every 14 days in flowering and 2-3 times last week.

Soil-less (hydro-aero):
18hrs: 1.2-1.6
12hrs: 1.6-2.4 (watch it!!) with clean water scheduled (every 7-10 days).

:-)

I would put maximum 4 plants on a square meter. Bending works well, also topping. But SCRoG works better because you don't have branches falling down to be supported.

If you top it, make sure you give a few days of 18hrs after splitting. Then switch to 12/12.
