Anyone else play? I have a great course 1 mile from my house and play at least 3 times a week. I've been playing for a few years and I can finally say that I have a pretty good feel for a disc... I dont have every shot down but I can work around it. I wish I could throw a 200+ ft tomahawk and could reasonably predict the break on a sidearm... but I make due.

i throw almost all disccraft discs. some innova works, I can't play a round w/o my stingray.

I remember in highschool I got suspended for a week over discgolf....
I was in a speech and debate class and the assignment was to make a video or power point or just get up in front and give a speech on how to do something. Well I came up with 'How to play a perfect game of discgolf' My folks had a videocamera so we went and I did the introduction, then on the first whole we videotaped me throwin the disc all crazy into the ground, and I said 'ohh yeah, I forgot...Hold on folks....' then the camera went above my head and all u see was smoke goin in the air...
The rest of the video we would videotape me throwin the disc then cut it to the discs goin in the chains.
The video was the shit and I had the whole class rollin, only problem was I didnt watch it myself before presentation, and Halfway through when we were 're-energizing' there was a glimpse of the pipe. The teacher reported it and I got suspended. It was worth it though, I even had the teacher crackin up...Good Times.

LOL, good story Get Mo. I play a few times a week. We've got a great course about 10 miles from me with 45 baskets to play. I like to take the dog with and let him run around off lead and I'd like to think we both really enjoy ourselves. I remember the first time I took him he would go retrieve the discs which was pretty cute but obviously not cool.

I love my Innova discs..... Innovas are the top-of-the-line quality I'm looking for in a disc IMO... Puffin' while playing is the shit too...

I almost always smoke when I play but I find that I'm usually a better player if I'm sober. Sometimes I feel like weed smoking gives me "Terminator Vision," you know, that ability to calculate exactly how the disc is going to fly and cut and whatnot but usually it just makes me less competitive and I could care less about my score and I just enjoy the day instead.

I love disc golf! Its the shit, theres a course by my house and it rocks. Everyone blazes up there, good times!

Im all for having fun but Ive been frisbee golfing for 20 some odd years and I have seen more than a dozen places shut down because kids were being irresponsible stoners on the course and too many complaints from other park users got the baskets removed. Play hard .. be cool.

I mostly play sober. When im high its just like playing pool... im either an ace or I am almost falling over. I can putt, but forget throwing a long drive... the timing is just too important.

throwing long is so damn hard... even when i play consecutive days of 18+ holes, it takes 12 holes to even get to 80%. I finally was throwing at 100% today after 9 holes and running the words 'balance, time, follow through' running through my head.

our local course is full of stoners, dogs, and drinkers. none of them ever cause problems. this year a rent-cop has been patrolling and writing tickets for beer and dogs. stupid waste of money. I never see beer cans on the ground, very few cig butts, no poop, and the trash cans are always cleaned out by homeless/wanderers.

i just picked up an FLX Avenger... love it so far, it pulls harder left than the normal plastic, but the durability is far better. im going to order an FLX XL... XL is my go to disc on drives that require a right hand bend.
