just wondered if anyone know what sort of shelf life piranah has on it.

a friend of mine who has stopped growing gifted me a half tub but told me its about 2 or 3 years old.

would this still be ok to use?

probably wont work AS WELL as it would a couple years ago, itll sure help. its dried so if he stored it in a cool place it might be 100%.

thanks digitalhippy,my friend used to store his neuts and stuff in a hallway cupboard so think i might give it a whirl.

another thing my friend told me is when he used to try and dissolve the piranah before mixing it in with his neuts he could never get it to dissolve fully.the best he could get it to dissolve was when he used hot(not boiling)and a handheld blender and even then he still had a sediment in his mixing bowl.

is there anyone useing piranah that gets it to dissolve fully if so how do you mix up yours.

they used to use a sand like agent to prevent cakeing in somewhat moist climates... its impossible to disolve, but dosent matter as the micorizzah are living on the grains and move to the water when wet. the cubbord is a good place and it wouldnt hurt to give it a whirle even if its bad/no good it wont do anything to harm your garden.

Dunno how they keep, but dry cool storage should help...

High yts... when I used the AN stuff, I read that paranah and 'the other one (??)', are supposed to be put into a (this is one way)
piece of panty hose and left to float in the res, like a tea bag. It will disperce the 'stuff' into the water and leave the fillers in the bag.
