for one the highland will need less light than the lowland. so if you were growing outdoor in a shaded area it would stretch less. i am not sure about the effects. i know they are both very hardy and easy to grow

and what about potency, what do you think is some difference between them both? Because i think potency is the main goal of growing, i can have strain with great flavour but if it does not have some minimal potency its just yummy hay. I like medium potency strain but some advantage of high potency plant is i need to smoke less than with other.
So i prefer high potency strain but with aplication to reach mellow high in my brain. |

also the highland afghani is in the top 5 or so fastest finishers in RM's collection if that means anything to you.

Reeferman's Afghani is a strong mother f... potent plant. Im impressed to the greatest level. So nice to grow, i can look at it for hours. I love healthy plants, solid breeding, stable line as well and the H.L.Afghani has all that, way to go Reef! Rodia......... taken from this thread

I don't know these two in particular, but in general the highland strains tend to be more heady and the lowland strains have more body effect. For example Columbian gold is very heady while Panama Red has a bit more indica character, they probably both originate from the same original population of Cannabis brought to the new world, and have adapted to their respective environments over the last few centuries. (Panama and Columbia are next to one another if you're not up on centroamerican geography.)
Also in general highland genetics tend to be more susceptible to mold as they have evolved in a dry climate, whereas lowland strains have to compete against fungi in a warmer, more humid environment. But I'm just speculating here... |
