HG-Praise to Arjan/Franco

Here's a pic of Himalayan Gold on June 19, just over 7'.
I hadn't grown any GHS strains but i have read all of the negative comments on many forums. I want to share my views as a grower with 38+ years of experience:

I bought 5 femmed Himalayan Gold and 10 Lemon skunk femms. Both had 100% germination within 24 hrs.

The HG had a few whorled leaves but grew well in seedling stage. I started the plant above on April 1 indoors on 14.5 hrs and trasplanted to the outdoors on April 25th at about 6". Bug resistance has been excellent and vigor has been outstanding. She has stood tall during at least 2 serious thunderstorms with hail and 60+ mph winds. She was mashed over by deer 2x and stood right back up. The plants have elbowed indiginous weeds out of their way to claim the sun, which is no easy task here at 38 degrees. I project that these plants will finish out in Oct at 12' or more and will yield at least a couple of pounds.

The lemon skunks, while less vigorous are doing well. A bit more susceptable to pest, but nothing serious. Once rooted into their outdoor gorilla home, they are thriving and are currently around 4'.

Let them say what they will fellas, but you have my attention. Im impressed to this point with you breeding, your knowledge of your strains and your comprehensive descriptions and videos. Your pricing is to be honored.
Ive grown 70+ store bought strains from many breeders, and you guys could and should take most of them to school and teach them something. My hats off to you guys. Keep your head up. Ill keep you posted.

Thankyou. SB

Great looking plants SB! I too have much respect for Arjan and GHSC! I've grown their Himalaya Gold and Super Silver Haze and both turned out freakin killer! From the looks of your outdoor grow next season I'm going to put some out also and hope I get your excellent results! Much respect to your skills... Peace

Those flowers look good oldpath. I noticed franco recommended a short veg, what do you think?.

There's a grower here, Supersonic that grew HG outdoors last year and has a report in the Outdoor strainguide. He liked the potency and I trust his judgment/ he turned me on to the strain. Did yours show some twisted leaf in the seedling stage? Everyone of mine did. Ive heard there is a dwarf pheno, but so far, all of mine look alike.
Im not a big fan of green weed, but what did you think about the potency of your branch?

I gave my plant a full 4 week veg, but I topped and cloned her. I think it would still perform very well with a short veg time. My HG has side colas that are starting to lean over

That little piece I cut off was alright, it definitely wasn't flushed nor cured so it shouldn't be a basis to judge off of. I was just impatient But it did get me pretty high. I cut it off before I had to leave town and when I came back it was dry enough to smoke and it was my first smoke of the day after driving for awhile early in the morning and I got pulled over so I was achin' to smoke the sample I cut off. It definitely got me high

Here's the latest about a week ago. Ive got to be more careful with my seedlings. I had this plant labeled Mandala 1, until it kept getting bigger and bigger, and all the other Mandala 1's were single cola looking plants. I realized I had screwed up. I have 4 of these

Here's a lemon skunk

Only 4 in buckets and those are usually test strains like the Cream Caramel or clones of different strains that I may want to keep as a mother plant or make seeds from.

Air surviellance is far too heavy here to grow on ones property. Guerilla. I plant 40 plants each year, with no more than 2 plants per site over a considerable area. Over the years ive found guerilla spots here and there that I can access, so I use the same spots over and over. I often look for larger strains as it is easier to tend to and hide one plant that yields a couple of pounds than it is to grow numbers. KC 33 has been one of my favorites. I do grow smaller strains, but I always grow 4 or 5 big ones all alone because it insures a harvest.

RESPECT SILVERBACK! Great work with the HG and LS.

I can suggest you keep the N going well into flowering with the HG, she will need it with those long towering branches....
