so what up with all the copied names... sounds like GHS is repackaging other companies names.

im interested how GHS got SSH and WHAT THE PERANTS were.
also id like to know the perants of "chemdog" yea really!
also i was interested what the perants were of the cheese.

one more fasination. why dosent ARJAN make new names, if his stuff is unique in the market why copy someone? lead the way with new names.

im looking for proof SSH is not just MRN F2's and the CHEESE is not BH F2's and chemD is not REZ F2's
only thing i see that isnt from other peoples name banks is arjan haze.

I just posted on your other thread about name hype Digi... I totally understand where you are coming from.

From what I have heard though, Chem himself said that the Chemdog GH has is infact Chem91... As far as some of the other name (Cheese, Trainwreck, SSH etc) I cant really say as I havent grown any to compare. I know GH admits that the Cheese they are working with is BB's.

Well yes, but Shanti was the one who bred it for GH I beleive. When Shanti and Arjan parted ways the story is that Shanti took his parent stock with him when he formed Mr. Nice. Of course I dont have anyway to know if any of this is true, I am just stating what I have heard. I havent heard of many people who prefer the post-Shanti SSH from GreenHouse though...

I beleive I even saw an ad for GH's new strains, and IIRC "Bubba Kush" was on the list, along with Trainwreck, Chemdawg and others... It does seem that GH seems to be coming out with strains with names of famous clones. If they are legit then I am all about it.

I suppose time will tell. That is why I am looking forward to Abird's TW comparison grow...last I checked the guys from GH were kinda ignoring him though.

id be nice if i can put some GHS in my room....
just cant find anything thats not stolen (IMO) the widow looks like people grow it out pritty easy... ive done TW... its over-rated, dont think its was GHS's though.
so im back to arjan haze... the one non-duplicated name.
the nivells haze is probably taken from the shanti/arjan venture aswell. so that leaves me with arjan haze and "big bang"....skunk, NL, el-nino, YAWN....whats a grower to do...

There's a ghs ad in the new, dare I say it here *cough* high times*cough*, advertising the new colored seeds and bubba kush is on the list. I'll admit that I am interested in their chemdog. As long as its the same as what won the blind judging.But as far as names go, its a crapshoot. There are so many people passing around fake named strains unknowingly that pretty soon we won't know what's what. Unless you are really in the know. Just my 2 cents.

1. Are you saying that the company should not honor the name giving to the strains by their creators and call them something else as if the created them.

2. Or are you saying that they should not listen to the customers desires and list something that is not in demand?

I know it is not feeling good for some to know that anyone at anytime almost anywhere will be able to get the strains that made them seem special, but I hope that they do not stop there. I hope that the company continues to list strains that the customers ask for, not the ones that are close and thrown out on occassion as if scraps to dogs. To stay competitive with an ever shrinking seed budget due to real world issues (rising gas, food, and electrical bills) a company must have the strains that people DESIRE, not sometime, but constantly available. I feel that Greenhouse with their resources, ability to collect strains and provide them through numerous outlets at REASONABLE prices make them untouchable. If I am wrong, I will gladly say so, but I think we all know that what these guys are doing is the best thing for individuals outside of weed friendly states. The most important thing to understand is that there is a market for these strains, and if one company does not provide the seeds to feed it another will.

this is like all the car companies making a focus you dont know if its a toyota, or a ford. most people know ford makes the focus and the toyota would be the copy, so thats why toyota has a matrix, not a focus.
