Early flowering Strain?
Will GHS ever be likely to produce an early/semi-auto flowering strain ready to harvest end of August like Guerilla Gold? Perhaps with the mold resistance of the church (I live in the UK
)

No, I grow all sorts, (got some lovely grapefruit on the go
) just curious my friend as most seed banks seem to offer an early flowering strain, and as GHS are the leading seedbank just wondered if they might see the potential (with the guerilla gardner in mind) of possibly producing a mold resistant strain that finishes in August

The Church is not mold-resistant at all. Not really early flowering either :(

The Church is mold resistant and a lovely smoke, I have grown this in very wet conditions and have suffered no mold, this is the strains main selling point
. Im also aware it's not an early flowerer, this is why I was asking if would be possible to combine with a semi-auto to make an early flowering, mold resistant strain. For me, as a guerilla grower in the UK, this would be perfect

What you want IMHO is a spot of Diesel Rider to keep you going through the Summer, then the Autumn crop of a nice early flowering mould resistant strain. S.African Sativas like Swazi go very well for this, Church if you have it and want to take a risk/wait. Outdoor growing is always a risky adventure in the lap of the gods, but you do not need to rent the property or pay for the lecci, so, spread the risk, some plants will not make it, others will, use several different varieties [and patches] to play safe. Good luck. CC |

Appreciate the advice ChaosCatalunya.
By semi-auto I mean a strain that finishes in August such as the Guerilla Gold. I have contemplated the Lowryder series but am concerned about the low yield and mold should we have alot of rain in the last 2 weeks of flower. A strain that could finish in August like Guerilla Gold with the mold resistance of the Church is pretty much as perfect a combination you can get with regards to yield, mold resistance and early harvest. I could experiment with breeding a strain like this but have no experience and would much rather leave it to the experts. Cheers Jack for getting back to us, would be really interested to see what imput Frank has on this |
