Coffee Shop Suggestions for June
I'll be heading to Amsterdam later this month and would be grateful for any suggestions as to what's been good in town weed and hash-wise lately and where I'd be able to find it. I'd also love to go to Haarlem if I can find the time but that's still up in the air.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

tcmd....it all depends on what kind of weed you like to smoke...mostly sativa...mostly indica....what type of hash...etc
check this out...www.black-arts.org/~reatta/menus.html it will give you some idea what strains are offered where and as far as the coffeshop atmosphere there are also many threads and posts on this site...just search and you will find but the better in amsterdam that you can't miss with is dampkring, tweede kamer, pink floyds (all 3 run by dampkring) also amnesia, grey area, and currently the green place seems to be getting great reviews in haarlem willie wortel indica and sensimilia are good i was there a month ago...amsterdam and haarlem...so anymore questions feel free to ask peace |

Thanks for the reply.
I actually like smoking everything, indica/sativa/hash, as long as its good. I like the trippy/soaring sativa high and the couch-lock/stoney indica all the same. Your list of shops to stop at are right on point to what I've been planning for myself so far and need to visit. I've also been up to date with that menu's site you posted which has provided a lot of good info. What I'm shooting for so far is a variety from the Grey Area, definitely hitting up Amnesia for their haze and a handful of others. Any particular strain you found to be impressive on your trip recently would be something I'd certainly consider. Thanks! Last edited by TCMD; 06-09-2008 at 03:50 PM.. |

Expensive but excellent is the Caramella from Barneys..Top notch hash if you do not know a hash dealer there..Also the King Hassan and Hassan Extreme from GHUnited and both good at 8 and 10 euros respectfully....
The caremella is 14....But excellent.. Weed there sucks for the most part... |

also try out the temple balls from stix... very nice dark hash!!
i would also very highly recomend coffeeshop mellow yellow.. they have some great stuff there. many nice varieties of herb that seem to be right up there with the best sold green in coffeeshops.this also i enjoyed betty two.. its the second of the betty boop coffeeshops . They had some really good herb there on my last trip called Gold Rush.. they also stock some of TH Seeds strains, and the staff are very friendly.. two floor coffeeshop. and my last recomendation would be cafe 420.. decent shop to smoke out in. and good for meet ups. cheers and have a good trip |

TCMD....what do you want to get from your trip to holland?
this is the most important question to ask and answer to yourself because there are so many coffeeshops and so many opinions, one can go crazy if you don't focus here some stuff I bought on the first day, after I started smoking these samples, it seems I forgot that I even have a camera or a brain....lol on the bags it is written the letters of each strain, plus three types of hashes cut up into small chunks using a sharp knife anyway, good luck |

Grey area is real small as you may be able to see in the pic, not much smoking room.

its still cool to chill out if you get a seat and talk shop with the budtender.. or all the people who walk in and wander what that wonderful smell is. met some cool people sitting that close to everyone.
cheers. also check out the barneys lounge... cool shop and you can work the vaporizers on your own time... also i believe coffeeshop anyday has like 30 volcano's in the shop. |

Green Place generally has the best weed and hash.
E.g. Real Cheese (UK clone) and Chocolope - both good smokes. They also have top quality Moroccan hash. I wouldn't personally shop anywhere else in A'dam, after having gone around all the 'best' shops, including Grey Area, and been disappointed with their wares. Peace |
