I've heard a lot of good -- as well as bad -- about various GHS products. I've heard it from people ranging from loyal customers to haters who have never grown or smoked GHS products. But certainly there must be at least one strain that everyone (including most of the haters & trolls) can agree produces really good smoke and is worth growing... right?

Which one(s) would that be? It's not that I'm too lazy to read the reports, but looking for information on this forum seems more difficult than most because of the trolls & haters clobbering up the threads and clouding things up.

I'm leaning towards the Hawaiian Snow. (No, it's not the THC % that interests me!)

All of their strains are over priced, alot of the batches of arjan seeds are inconsistent or hard to find a good pheno.

Simply put, I would spend my money on other, more reputable breeders.

Hawaiian snow is the only strain of his that interests me but i would rather grow something from flying dutchmen, gypsy, sensi seedbank, or serious if i really wanted to be smokin popular dutch strains and had the opportunity to grow.

never tasted hawiian snow..but all i know agree with me on lemon skunk..an excellent smoke from the gh coffee shops..never grown it myself though.anyone grown GHS LS outhere?
edit the GHS coffee shops in amsdam are expensive..nice though..

Great question Clowntown...I am also looking at some seeds from G.H...the female variety particularly......The lemon skunk does look good...so does the nlhaze mist.....

well clowntown. I really like your post! those haters try to give us a bad name since we came on this forum, but people like you and many other loyal customers are what keep us on here to help everyone and to share our knowledge.

Here is a little personal view I have of the hate situation.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but a couple of years ago, there was a rumor started by "someone" (probably a competitor), that arjan has never grown anything before. Well arjan's reaction to that was to launch the green house seed co. "grow dvd". In this dvd he grew out almost all of our strains, from start to harvest, and since franco is arjan's breeding partner, franco also appeared in all of the videos.

When we released the grow dvd the same guys who were shouting that arjan never grew a plant before in his life, were saying that franco did all the work and arjan just posed in the video. well this is big bs, I see exactly what goes on in our company and I can tell you those two guys are the most dedicated growers/breeders I know. Franco is a great grower and breeder, but so is arjan, and they share knowledge and sometimes arjan corrects franco and sometimes franco corrects arjan. So there are mutual knowledge and skills that they share. They are a team, and there are many more people behind the scene's that work with arjan and franco to achieve their goals, because they could never achieve all that they have achieved all by themselves. these other people will never be in the spotlight because arjan and franco are the one's that represent them.

We are a very large organisation (4 coffeeshops, 1 very large merchadise company with more than 150 products, 1 gift shop, world's biggest seed company and several other companies), and it takes a lot of time, hard work and dedication to keep the green house running in 5th gear. Arjan and Franco work on 4 or 5 different projects simultaniously + arjan is the CEO of all of the other green house companies, so try to imagine how little time he has left to spend with his family. arjan loves to smoke, but his position simply doesn't allow him to be stoned all day, he needs to be sharp and lead everyone in the right direction.

Nobody handed arjan his empire of 4 coffeeshops and other companies. This is all the result of hard work and a lifetime dedicated to the green house. If I am not mistaked, there are about 80 people that work for all of the greenhouse companies in amsterdam alone.

So back on topic, here is some info that might help you with your choice:

For the taste:

1.) Arjan's Strawberry Haze (I have tried many strawberry strains and none of them come close to this one, it really smells and taste's like strawberries)

2.) Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 (the cannabis cup winner 2006, this was one of the fruitiest smokes I ever had, the crop that arjan and franco grew for the htcc 2006 reminded me of pineapples and tasted sweet)

3.) The Church (has traits of the strawberry haze, so it lands on 3rd place of my list)

For the strength:

1.) Hawaiian Snow (this stain is one of our strongest smokes, the taste is not as good as the 3 mentioned above, but if you want to get really high, get this)

2.) White Widow (damn, this one still gets me stoned to the point that I can only sit and watch tv., the original white widow that arjan got from INGEMAR)

3.) Trainwreck (want to get paranoid? damn this one is strong, too stoned for me and the taste is a bit harsh!)

Through emails from customers and grow reviews I would also recommend Arjan's Haze #3. A very popular strain and we get great reviews from growers all the time from this strain.

That pretty much settles it. Any comments on whether this is a "no-ceiling" type strain?
