As title imply this thread is a place to gather info on Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur in coco coir.

I have never even tried the product, but have had ok results from the other AN 2+ stuff and therefore want to try their "best" also and see if I can gain something here... (and I also like to try new stuff all the time to learn and observe reactions within a reasonable frame.)

I reckn I'll have to use SensiCalMgMix or similar, but probably gonna use MEST Bloom, BigBud and maybe Overdrive too. (Although I'd like to see how connie is alone and willprobaly give it pure to some plants also.)

Due to occasions where AN have been unstable in reservoirs I will do the first tests by hand feeding. I will make a batch for every week if possible, so I can see how it keeps fresh/alive in the res.

Please contribute with all points of view, except regular bashing of the product or AN in general...

Tap water: EC 0,0 - pH 6,1




I mixed up a batch of 6 liter tap water and I adjusted it with AN SensiCalMgMix-Bloom. (Think I used 5ml and ended at the desired EC 0,2.




Then I checked the bottles of connie and found that to get an EC of 0,85 it would take 2ml per liter. Because I targeted the solutions EC to 1,0-1,2 and I had read the product is quite strong I subtracted a little from the estimation and pulled up 10ml Connoiseur part A. After adding it the EC was 0,8




After a good mixing I repeated the procedure of adding 10ml Connoiseur part B to the bucket and blending it thoroughly.




THE RESULTING SOLUTION WAS EC 1,3!!! This is way stronger than expected, and the p had barely changed so I diluted the solution down to 1,1 and added a little MEST Bloom to dump the pH a few points.


36hours later the solution was still the same pH, EC and colour/appearance.

So far nothing negative to note on plants or solution.

The Connoiseur-mix was given to 2 Sour Bubble BX2 female seed plants at 10-14days and in coco-coir, 1 Petrol clone at 18days and 1 Colombian f2 seed plant at 5weeks+ in soil/soil-less mix.

Wow, nice to have a few guys following here.

These plants are barely seeded by the one male I found in my last 3 survivors of SB2. I have other SB genrations I made myself, but I want to see if I find a new more vigorous mother in the remaining original beans.

-Today I mixed another 9-10L of nutes. (I used 6-7ml of SensiCal, and added 11ml of Connie A and B. The pH dumped down at 5,6 quick after adding the nutes and soon after stopped stable at 6,1. EC got stabilized at 1,0 and I added 7-8ml MEST Bloom to up it to 1,2 and lower the nutrients pH a tidbit...

Fed my coir SB gals and the soil(less) Petrol. (They seem to take up nutrients extremely well, and I see that I might need to lower the strength or adjust the balance a bit. I am a bit worried there will be lack of P or excess of K, but maybe it's just cause my only coco experience is with Canna's 5-4-3 NPK-range.)

i believe connie is good enough for all 3 major grow styles, hydro, soil and coco.
im glad you got the expected results.

(Just need to be a bit careful as I've pierced an AN bottle before with one. LOL)

-Still seem to be working very well and I find it is spot on stable for at least 4days in a bucket. (no aeration or shit, just a stir at feeding time each day.

If it stay like this or get even better I might wanna try it in the drippers too. (but it'll have to outperform pretty decent stuff made from Canna and GH programs...-anyways it seem to be very potent stuff this Connoiseur.)
