Yes it does look like something has reached toxic levels, in order to give a more informative answer to your question let me ask you something:

My light is 13inches away from the tops and is aircooled VERY well. No o3, I use a carbon filter. I have flushed with clearex, Ph'd Tap, and a week nute solution, respectivly, throughout all last week. ![]() EDIT: Temps are about 72F during lights on and 68 light off... |

Nice job, well this is just one stoners opinion so you can take this with a grain of salt, I’m going to point out what I would call “red zones” of your system, and it should be noted that I have never grown in a “ebb & flow” system before but symptoms are symptoms to me so let’s get started.
Looks like you might have a little nut-burn but not enough to cause that much damage imp, but I would make sure that I am putting the right amount ratio that the label says. It looks like most of the damage is concentrated in the upper level of the plants, this will eliminate a lot of deficiency and or toxic symptoms, seeing that each one effects plants differently, as a rule of thumb here’s the method that I use to tell the difference between deficiency/toxicity, for example, if your lights are two foot or more away from your plants its’ going to be difficult to tell if you have deficiency or toxicity because there’s not enough light intensity being placed on your plants unless it’s totally whacked-out, the more intense the light is the more your plants will show you the problems and being able to read those problems could mean life or death for your plants, here’s the gauge that I use, if your light is very intense and your plants turn a “dark green” then it’s most likely a deficiency, let me illustrates one of the main problems in diagnosing nutrient problems by visual inspection. In the vast majority of cases, nutrient deficiencies can substantially reduce production without showing any clear symptoms. This problem is referred to as "hidden hunger". (By the way, the “dark green” plants means that there is a deficiency in potassium—phosphors) stunted growth is often associated with these symptoms. While deficiency symptoms are sometimes seen, it is often too late to correct the problem, especially with short term crops. Correctly identifying the deficiency symptoms can be difficult if multiple deficiencies occur at the same time. Visual diagnosis of crop growth, if correct can help in future management but is at best a much less efficient way of solving crop production problems. Now if your plants began to show “rust spots on the leaves or is very brittle and discolored” then in most cases it’s toxicity.” In your case this looks to be right, the very first thing I would do is to stop using all those extra products and just use Floranova and possibly one more bloom additive and that’s it!! Your problem looks to me like you have to much Magnesium (Mg) and that is toxicifing in high amounts and effects the top’s of the plants first that gets the most intense light, your not adding Epsom salts are you? If you do not think that that is it, then in my opinion it defiantly is an overdose of something? To me you are defiantly in the toxic zone!! Cut back on all those additives, if you feel like you need to use any added product pick out only one to mix with your solution and no more, that’s imo, but at this stage of the game it’s all most to late but it’s never to late to learn for the next grow. Well I hope this helps in some small way bro, good luck with your grow. |
