High everyone!
a friend here on IC gifted me a nice camera, Canon powershot G7, 10 megapixel n more features than I can count. Im verry excited about this camera, and verry thankful!
see, my previous camera, Ive had for about 4 yrs, 3.3 megapixel, few features, crap for macros, not to mention the broken LCD, oh and it could use an oil change n a set of new tires, new transmission etc..lol

so heres some pics I took with the new G7!!!

Ive got to figure this camera out a bit more, so I dont have to resize all the pics when I transfer the to the PC, etc. theres lots to learn about it, but it will be fun! and it will take my ability to photo the plants to a new level, which Im most excited about, as I never felt I did them justice before.. Now I think I can.

sweet bro...looking good..!
you can take the silver ring off and add converter lenses..they have a tele and wide angle availble.also you can get a hot shoe flash.which is a flash on a cord which slides in on top.so you can direct the flash at any angle,and not use the built in strobe flash.
the only thing i did not like about the g-7 was that is has no battery meter...so it dies out of nowhere.but the battery recharges pretty fast.
i'l be ordering the g-9 this weekend..12 megapixels,has a RAW feature and a battery meter.
if anyone is in the market for a digi cam i highly reccomend the canon g line.
top of the line point and shoot.

exelent bub! good idea to use a lil tripod. they come on normal size and very small. get both. the small joba is great for macros. im affraid your cam doesnt do super macros so consider to get the very cheap canon powershot(no not house, lol) a470 for full photo options.

also try to put something in front of the flash and play for the good pic. hope to see some outdoor shots to.
