HTC SKUNK IBL
hello everyone. welcome to what i hope will be an entertaining and informative thread(at least for me
)I usually would not start off with crappy cameraphone pics, but when i got home today, i saw something i have yet to see in person. I planted 6 skunk ibl seeds almost 3 days ago. i do not bother with the paper towels or the shot glass of water, as i have until recently, never had a seed not pop by just putting in medium. so... i get home tonight and head straight to the veg area to see if my new babies have arrived and i found this in one of the plugs. I assure you it is just the one seed per plug: ![]() so hit me folks-how odd is this, or how common? I have yet to see it before, other then a thread i saw here once. anyways, well on the way now, and i will keep this thread updated and see what happens. I have plans to use this strain to do a couple home chuckin projects for the first time. heres hopin for some successful crosses. thanks again to the staff at HTC, hope to make you proud......sub |

Awesome bro! Looks like you got twins. They are fairly common. I would guess about 1/100 or so are twins. I could be lowballing a guess too heh. I've had a few over the last couple years. If you don't seperate them, one will eventually overshadow the other, and it will die. You could do surgery, and seperate them into seperate pots, and I imagine they would make it. Ya have to do it soon tho. The roots will be twisting around eachother pretty good within the first week. Good luck doc! And thanks again for getting your grow on, here in HTC!

su-bro-b those twins are kickass dude! That is a great charm I think, if you're Irish, on that strain - because I got a twin seedling from my Mandala Satori seeds and those guys were SO VIGOROUS and displayed prime homogeneity (same pheno across all females, probably males too if I grew them to maturation). I did cut the stunted twin after a week or two of growth and attempted to rooted and clone it but no luck. The mother that came of that twin was the same pheno as the other female I had, just not as much punch to the high, but equal effects. I would say you won't get full genetics out of her and would throw her/him out (but that's just me and seeing what happened, unless you hurry and detach her asap before any further rooting happens, as Brotha Monk explained)> frickin' insane how fast those HTC babies popped! It's gonna be some killer killer genetics I can already tell you dude, sic job by the HTC crew, BrothaMonk-ss-OGbub

High subrob!
awesome of you to start a thread! thanks! yepp, 100% on what the Brother said. twins happen on occasion, and like Brohter said, one will get knocked out in time. I would seperate them asap, if you want them both to live. oh n looks like 4 outta 6 to me lolyeah man, I hope you enjoy the Skunk brother! and thanks for givin HTC gear a go! Peace, bub.

bro monk-thanks man. as you know, i have been looking forward to growin this since i heard about it. thanks for helping to make it happen!
dragor-sup man? since you sprouted the stonehedge x skunk beans but wont be flowering till later, throw up a few shots now and again on this thread to let us know how they look till you have time to flower and start a thread-i dont think anyone will mind!. thanks for helpin out bro bub-thanks for stoppin in man. ya there were 4 fully showin by the time i posted the thread! pretty sure when i get home i will see all 6. sooo.... im getting a little ahead of myself considering i have not seen her in person(other then my little seedlings) nor have i smoked her, but the plan right from the start was to get an ibl to do my own crosses, and i think i mightve posted this on someones thread, but here are some possible candidates for crosses with the skunk ibl: 1) grand daddy purple female-this is probably going to be first when i get the males done-i dont really want to change anything but the yield. taste, aroma, and high are all there, i just cant get a decent yield off her 2)chem d-dont really know this girl yet, but i have the authentic cut, so it cant be bad can it? (can you say west coast sour deisel? lol) 3)genius-can you say tasteeass sativa goodness? i can 4)if all is going well, i will crack my northern lights 5 x haze seeds and look to make my own super silver haze cross-both ways(skunk ibl female with nlh and vice versa) anyways, just some random thoughts-any comments, insight, or advice is welcome.....sub |

Well... the story of the seeds goes like this... the germination rate was as good as it gets for HTC Stonehedge x Skunk IBL - 3/3 100% - by start of 2nd day - very quick sprout and growth so far! Seriously a fresh and well tested batch of beans it looks like - nice quality control by HTC; thanks sub for letting me jump in and put up shots of these babies til bloom time - I'll keep the updates to a minimum, no threadjacking I promise ![]() 72hours post-planting ![]() Dragor :peace:

Nice! 2 birds with one stone. Just so yaz know, my goal for this cross was to improve the density and yield of the stonehedge. I was very impressed with the bouquet and potency of sags baby, but very un-impressed with the density of the bud. I'm hoping the Skunk will beef her up a little. Thanks for giving me a peek into the creation.

Hello all
Got some of these beans myself. Popped 10 of em in dirt, and 3 days later I've got 6
crazy ladies crashing through the dirt. Would like to know though, expected yeild, length of flowering, expected hight. Thanks, will post some pics soon. p.s. hope they stink like hell Peace Max
