Screen to light distance using a 400w cmh in vertical scrog?
Hi everybody,
has anybody created a chart showing the ideal distance of screen to light in vertical scrog systems using different bulb sizes? I'm interested in these cmh bulbs and wanted to get an idea of how big the screens are in 400w hps systems. edit Last edited by dymaxion grow; 04-28-2008 at 08:54 PM.. It depends on your setup and if you have a fan blowing on the bulb. I can stay at 5-6 inches off of the canopy but, that's my setup, I'm sure yours is different. I had it at 4 inches and had some slight burn. Here's a couple of early pics from my current grow. 400 watts CMH in a cabinet, it maintains upper 70's to low 80's. you can see I have a 4" axail fan blowing on the bulb, it's not a computer fan, it's 110V 130 cfm fan.
