Oh, just too stay on topic, I did finally get 2 RW Deep Chunk seeds to sprout.

good on you lean, Im sure Tom would be proud and great to hear a couple of RWSC DC made it up for ya.
Of the last batch of breedin stock tom sent , the ptk germed vigorously, the dc fair, and on the indian, nada, ohaze a few and mexican, nada also.
so its always a grab bag suprise what germs out of a given batch of beans

Would these be the Deep Chunk with a germination problem ?

From SB around six months ago , have just dropped them into water and will transfer to soil once they crack.

All still floating after 12 hours so might abrade them a bit.

Seem to have some luck with problematic seeds.

right on RW.. yeah we havin trouble with the Indian and Haze also.. DC here did thae same as yer results.. bout half came thru..

fortunately we got plenty to work with, so Im confident about things.

I just soaked my pack of RW's DC overnight, about 14 hours. 8/10 were on the bottom, two still floating. I put the 8 into some Rapid Rooters that had soaked in a Liquid Karma solution for about 10 minutes. I'll keep an eye on them but try not to disturb them for 7-10 days, let them do their thing.

I'm hoping I can get at least one male and one female so I can get as many seeds as I can. If they all sprout even better, I'll maybe top them all once and then put them all into the flower cabinet, do an open pollination. As soon as my USB port starts working I'll get some pictures up.
