AN Heavy Harvest dosage...

Hey guys, I'm looking to keep things simple this summer and will be using Advanced Nutrients' Heavy Harvest line-up for N-P-K and micronutrients. The directions on the packaging aren't particularly helpful for someone who won't be spreading the stuff over 500 square feet of garden beds. What I'm looking for is an estimate of how many tablespoons to add per gallon of soil mix. I'm running a soilless mix consisting of:

4 parts peat moss
2 parts coir
2 parts perlite
3 tablespoons dolomite lime/gallon
1 tsp. mycorrhizae/gallon
+ a heavy dose of polymers

Since my mix is devoid of nutrients, I'm going to need a pretty hefty dose of fertilizer. Any recommendations? Thanks for any advice.

do you have a PPM meter?
id sugest you start out at about 500-600ppm and work the ppm's up 100-200 ppm's a week... ppm is consistant compared to tablespoons...

Think he's asking how much of the Heavy Harvest time release hard fertilizer to use per gallon. It's in "pellet" form. Can't just mix it and determine ppm's. Stuff works like a champ outdoors when sprinkled around the girls.

Totally forgot until this morning. I asked a AN rep while he was at my hydro store this very question about a year or so ago. He had no idea how much to use indoors on soil grows per gallon or otherwise.

Sprinkle it on the ground around the plants and work it in just a bit. Works great outside. Used it on these 2.

Unless you are going to plant ALOT of outdoor plants, the big bucket is gonna last you a long time. But keep it dry and it will last a good long time too.
I had the Spring, summer and fall 1 pound sample containers I used on those 2 plants. I still had at least a half pound of each or better left in the containers at the end of flower. Doesn't take a lot for 2 plants. I did use some Pure Blend Pro Soil formula and either TopMax or Hydroplex towards the end of flowering.
The HH also works very well on fruit trees, flowers, and vegetables, so it can be used on a wide variety of plants.
I just put some of the spring ferts down today in my freshly tilled beds. Good stuff!

OriginalyPosted-Not sure about temp activated. But it is time released as water washes across it for a longer slower feed rate. Same as most slow release bag ferts. Such as 10-10-10 and the like.
