Cheese - 5 Fems from Day 1 to smoke
Ok folks,
So i though I would come and share this grow with the world of ICMAG. So we got a pack of 5 fem Cheese from GHSco. The hope here was to find some smoke that resembled one of the many cheese clones that I have. If not, then at least to grow some dank herb that I would enjoy smoking. Hell, I am bored of cheese, so I was actually hoping for some variation. And this is what I got. Must say I have had a long winded affair with GHSco. I bought strains in late 90 and early 00's and had some great results. Then in 2004 i bought some SSH. All turned out Fem, bonus! But then all turned herm at day 21-26 exoect one. This finished in 50 days and was a stonking indica. Actually very nice but no SSH. So on to the cheese. I started 5 seeds, all germed and looked great at just 48 hours old. No germin issues here! Then these were vegged for 21 days and then flowered in a flowgrow, fed with Canna Aqua range and put uner 250w. Here are some Day one pics. ![]() ![]() Day 11 - starting to show their variations. ![]() Day 21 - Now all stretched to about 2 ft +. ![]() ![]() The Cheese leaf double serration. I am getting excited. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Week 4. Notice on the last pic in last post that I have had to bend and tie some of these bitches.
Starting to build what look like some large colas, and some that look very very small. ![]() Growing up past the light. ![]() This is the smallest plant. ![]() The start of a very large cola ![]() Crystal starting to form ![]() ![]() Week 5 Starting to fill out. Not really any smell apart from standard green smell. Normally cheese would be humming, with these there is no need for odor control at the mo. ![]() ![]()

DAy 64 last few
![]() ![]() ![]() Smoke Reports I wrote this on my first try, Well, I have some dry nug shots to take at some point. These plants in whole are a bit of a dissapointment. The total dry weight from 5 plants was under 6 oz. And the large plant yielding 3 oz. With 2 uk cheese plants I will normally pull 9-12 oz. All nugs are curring now. I am just smoking the first spliff. I took the bud from plant front letf. Most like cheese in structure and strongest smell. In the jars the smells range from hay to POG or Shark not made my mind up yet. Taste is bland and generic and reminds me of bunk ass indi genetics from dutch rip off companies. I started this with high hopes even tho there was no cheese presenting its self. I was hoping for soming dank. All i got was good bag appeal and low smelling, tasting, middling potency bud. Not really of any medical value, and absolutly no resemblance of cheese. I will post pics and smoke reports on the dif phenos soon. But going by this one, i am not excited to smoke the rest. Since then, I have smoked all phenos. And they are all garbage. Even my low tolerance mates don't find it particularly special. Its the lack of tastes and aromatics that really let it down. I had hoped to find some resemblance of cheese, but all I got was generic bud. I am not complaining, being negetive or looking for explainations. I only posted this so folks can decided on what they want to grow. One thing I will say is that five seeds does a selection not make! Really one should use min 10 - 20 seeds to get a good representation. But I had hoped for one plant to smoke good. Almost all of this bud is getting turned into tincture. This is a shame, as I had hoped the TW line would be a good one, and as I am very experiance in cheese I figured these will be my benchmark. But as the cheese didn't show, I will not bother with the Train Wreck. Untill the dry shots, this concludes this ' theherbalizor's Public Service Announcement' |

thanks for posting this up theherbalizor, it gives fellow growers an idea of what to expect from their 'cheese' seeds. the plants look nice but its a shame they aren't anything like the real deal. hopefully others will have better luck with theirs. maybe ghs should have done more testing before releasing these seeds.

Thanks for all your kind words.
As plants these grew very well, and easy. No nanners thrown at all. Not a seed in sight! I do hope that there is some cheese in some of the packs being grown. I will be interested in seeing all your cheese grows. Perhaps post some pics here to show one and all. I am just a little disapointed that not one plant made the grade interms of smoke and smell. But then at least I got 5 fems. I did a pack of someone elses so called fems and ended up all male. Now how does that work. |
