NL5 HAZE MIST
One of the newest entries in the Green House Seed Company catalogue, the NL5 Haze Mist is an old champion.
Winner of the first prize at the 1996 High Times Cannabis Cup, it has been in Arjan’s genetic library for a long time, until we finally had the time and space to start production of the feminized seeds. So, here we are, the seeds are available and the first test grows are growing in many places around the world. The NL5 Haze Mist defines its own pedigree in the name. It was created crossing the original NL5 with a Haze x Skunk x Kali Mist cross. The result: an incredibly easy-to-grow sativa, with a unique bouquet and a reasonably short flowering time of 10-11 weeks. The feminized seeds are produced from the original selected mother of this strain (R1 seeds). The NL5 Haze Mist is a big producer: the colas are broken in nuggets that have a dense shape with thick, hard calyx formation. The resin production is massive, especially in the last week. The smell of the NL5 Haze Mist has hints of incense, sandalwood, musk and forest berries. The taste when burned stays pretty loyal to the smell, with a rich incense scent and a very woody side to it. It is a strain I always love to burn in a pipe or a bong, without mixing the burned-paper to the deep woodiness of the strain. When smoked in a joint, I roll it thin and long, using no glue and the less possible amount of paper. The NL5 Haze Mist is a mostly sativa plant, with a typical pine tree structure. Branching starts at the bottom with long stretchy arms and this benefits production if the grower has enough space to let the plant develop properly. The internodes distance is between 15 and 25 cm on average, contributing to the overall size of this strain. The NL5 Haze Mist has long, broad non overlapping leaflets and a dark green color; if there are no deficiencies in the nutrients the color tends to darken as the plant ripens. The plant likes a normal feeding program, with a slight increase in P and K during week 3-7 of flowering. The pH should be raised gradually from 5.5 in vegetative growth up to 6.5 at the end of flowering. In hydro systems this strain performs exceptionally well, with great yields and amazing resin production. It is important to ripen this plant properly in order to allow the complete formation of the complex range of terpins and flavonoids in the resin. Sometimes the 11th week of flowering is really the one that gives it the flavor and the great high. The effect is a sativa dominant stoned, with good physical relaxation and a trippy uplifting cerebral side that lasts long. Yeah, it is the same pic, what gives here? Seedsman have been selling those Colombian Red Haze seeds for ages, I've had a pack for a year or more.
Love to see how franco explains this one! ![]() ![]() I've emailed Tom at Seedsman to see what he has to say... |

Well, it's a bit strange, when did Franco take that pic? Must have been a long time ago as Seedsman were using it a year ago. Have you got any more pics of that plant? Surely Franco took more than one? If you have loads of pics of that plant, that should clear things up.
So I suppose you are saying that that NL5HazeMist plant was grown over a year or more ago, it must have been for Seedsman to have had a picture of it back then. I'm not saying anything other than I'm confused and it doesn't look good. I'll post Tom's answer when I get it! |
