Considering These Samples of Big Bud
I'm not completely sold on all AN products, but I've used enough to know that a few do what they advertise. I use Tarantula, Grandma Enggy's Fulvic Acid, Bud Blood, CarboLoad and VitaBoost.
What do all these have in common? Well, they're additives, not base nutrients. I'm a Fox Farm guy--always have been. But I use a wide assortment of additives to support the Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Tiger Bloom. And I've always enjoyed a lot of success. However, I've been hearing a lot of positive things about Dr. Hornby's Big Bud. No one has yet to say, "That stuff sucks. Ruined my garden. AN should be sued into bankruptcy." Anyway, my AN vendor mailed me some free 50 gram packets of Big BUd, which have sat for many months. Are they still good? One has a pinkish color, the other a dirty tan tint to it. One seems to be getting crunchy, like the powder is sticking together and making crunchy pebbles. Is this stuff too old to use? Can powder nutes expire over time? Lastly, how much of this stuff do I use? I'm a soil grower. The package says all this crap about raising my ppm to X or Y. Man, I don't understand that stuff; I have teaspoons and tablespoons over here. I have digital scales to weigh Tarantula (among other things). AN's nute metric tables are intimidating. I don't want to fly a space shuttle or devise a cure for cancer, I just want some bigger buds. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
