well that really helps the guy....its all about what you wanna do....some people leave the lights off for the last 36 to 48 hours.....not myself personally....it is supposed to increase resin production rite befor you chop...i dont think there is any evidence to back this up but i do know that alot of people do it....but i would suggest letting your plants at leats soak up that last 12 hours of light and chop right at the end of the last on cycle....but everyone is different...best of luck to you

Am... anyone that studies essential oils from any plant knows that the essential oils secreted by a plant peak at dawn. Companies that produce lavender, sage, comfrey oils etc. are harvesting their herbs right at dawn when their essential oils thet they secrete by moonlight have not yet been deteriorated by the daytime heat and light. Especially for a strain as NYCD that can keep going and going and just gets chunkier and better, I say it's nice to wait for the dawn after a full moon. If it is really ready now you can take her though you may see a way better yield by waiting to the next dawn after a big moon. It is very good to let them dry out for a few days beforehand to make every hair red and give them time to get chunky. success.

am... wait... i am not sure about that secreting resin by moonlight bit... The energy to make the resin is made by uv light and photosynthesis it's just that the gravity of the big moon makes the energy go to the top of the plant. The heat and light can deteriorate the resin so if your plant is very close to a lamp then I say definetely wait to right before your lamp goes on. If the plant is further from the lamp it doesn't matter so much. Maybe you can observe your trichomes with a magnifier and say when they are ripest. Good luck.

I got the same opinion as Amos & Yeshijah awhile back, before I was experimenting..
Now, I try to harvest my plants at the dawn if possible, or at the end of 12/12 day cycle. About the 36-48 hours of darkness... Well, it does increase resin production with some strains, while others seem to decrease in resin content, it´s tricky ![]() What I suggest you to try before/when harvesting is to use molasses in final rinses and let your plant dry to death. You can do it the way that the buds dont become crispy, but they are still curable! This increase the final resin pump out 100 % the time I do it! Only possible minus is that it also gives huge stress to the plant, so beware of unwanted na-na´s if your strain/strains have the tendency to hermie and if you got other strains still contunuing flowering at the same space

me too I have the same experience
. Some in dawn, some in evening. Either either. The sweets, the pure water, the nice dry, the big moon, the big trichomes, the seeds, the ice, the headies, the butane, the sihv, the iso...I am researching 100% vaping solvents in the hashish threads.... I don't see pine trees making sap when they are so wet just when they dry.![]() Yestereves oniye photos soon come... Thank you doc green too yes the biodynamie is very nice to think about autumn red/oranje spectrum, shortening days, ~20c/61-74f wind, etc...
