help me with my tree grow please!
well here she is... the product of many months labor & stress, and well over budget as well ha. I've grown many a plant in many a system, but growing smaller plants failed to achieve more then .6/.7g/w on a constant basis, so decided to give the plants a try.
read lots and lots of threads (mostly at og) written by lots and lots of 'famous' people, (you know who you are no need for me to say) who's ideas I borrowed to butcher and manipulate to suit my environment. here's the main layout, two rooms that willl be flip flopping 5000~8000watts each during flower and another veg room (yet to be built) for pre flower vegetation. I will mention that the biggest thing different from a typical tree grow is my method of O2 injection. I found a source for these membrabne bubbling discs used in treating sewage water in septic tanks. All I've got to say about then is stop the press. These things totally blow away any soaker hose you'll ever find. They're designed to stand up the the chemicles/toxins in our feces (quite nasty I imagine)while cleaning the water, needless to say they're self-cleaning. However, they do need some serious air supply, no getting away with 1/4"hose with these, they need at least a 3/4"hardlined main, brass fittings and so on. I'll put up some demo pics if there's any interest in seeing them. another innovation was to drill these diffusers right into the bottom of the lower bucket, as to completely avoid the issue/nuisance f roots getting tangled up in the support/soaker hose. with this setup, there's absolutely no way the roots can get under the disc, they're just going to be blasted from day one til the end. here's the room on the right. looks pretty normal healthy plants. normal five light/four plant setup, just the firt run I've got a few extra plants in each room as I may be adding more lights. too many things to do, not enough time... now here's where I need your input the mot.. why the heck are these plants on the left room all droopy. they're sharing the same res as the right room yet look so much worse, and I bet they're growth is also being slowed as a result. No, the air is not turned on yet, I was going to wait until I flip them as they currentll don't have sooooo many roots protruding, but qctually quite a few. also no real good air circulation yet, still got the monkey-engineers working on that, contruction of the steel/wood/electrical part of the rooms has been quite time consuming. also worth noting that my H2O here is crap. starting ppm of +400 ph 7+ I've got an r/o but I think i need to move to industrial size for it stopped working al together the other day and won't even turn on now. so, half the problem might be the water for all I know. feeding gh nutes. so doctor what's the prognosis? am I going to get that 2lbs/1k light my first run through? hahahaha me thinks not.. I'd be so happy with 1lb/plant, which at this stage seems a little unlikely. Dr. Hydrogynocologist.

Hey Hydrogynocologist,I just wanted to stop by and say nice work. I have been waiting to see another tree grow with vertical lights with no reflectors. I just mentioned this in another post last night.Awesome set up!
I thought you mean you did not have any a/c in there yet. if you meant you did not have any air going into the buckets that that could possibly be why the plants are drooping. I had a strain that would droop when I would change the water in the buckets.I would kick the air on as soon as possible. Also do you have any osc.fans in there? What are your temps and Rh at? Are all plants the same strain? Thanks Hydrogynocologist. i am gonna keep an eye on this one. I love these kind of grows. Good luck.

Fuzzy&Sauce BBG I think I understood your post.. smokey the bezar yes, need to learn how to use the camera options when shooting, so much easier with the lights off.
flipmaster mike point taken. I'll also do my best to grow something worth the attention. wrote you guys a reply last night but guess improperly as it wasn't posted. still getting used to the site sorry, in a hurry atm can't writ too much, let the pictures do the talking.. non droopy room: the droop: ballasts: plumbing: 1/4'feed to the bucket via garden hose. 1.5" gray return at the bottom. 3/4" L coming out of the bottom (unseen) with a brass fitting that will fir the 3/4" air supply. res is four feet lower then room, gh nutes, continuous feed, off for 6 hours cutrrently with lights off for veg. 9 nebulas, 3 hdfs hds are the stretchy ones going to start flower qwithin a week I hope they've already been vegging for a looooong time

Love them tree grows . Wish I had a answer fer ya bro , how do the root stuctures compare to each other ? Any bad smells , abnormal colors(I know GH dyes the roots) . Same genetics in both rooms right? Hopefully they'll just bounce outta it!
Regardless dude , clean , professional setup , nice. |

Hay Hydro how’s it going, even though this is not my style of growing I do think I remember you from Guerilla Seeds Web-Site, if I remember right these are the same pictures that you posted there right? Do you have any photo’s that are more up to date? And what did Krusty say that your problem was? If I am thinking right, this grow is done!! Or am I wrong? If it’s not, then post some of your latest pic’s with new info/updates, as to help better give us a up to date info on were you/your plants are at right now?
About your problem, I’m just guessing here but one of the most obvious things that I see is that they look deprived of C02 or (smothered)……….it makes no deferent’s if your giving them 02 injection in the roots without circulation of fresh air!! All that is going to do is allow your roots to breath but that does nothing for the grow/room, plants have to breath also, it is unconceivable that you would have a grow of that size and not have fresh air factored in, the is (deification)!! low levels of fresh air in your grow/room and without any circulation to move that C02 around it’s dead on the floor!! I noticed that the room on the right in the first pic has a floor fan in it, how about the other room?............well I hope I’m not to far off the make and this has been some what of help to ya. |
