Any new vertical setups?
I haven't seen anything new. Anyone have any links to good threads? I read the stuff on here religously... northern farmer, christian... those threads are awesome. I want to get a vert going eventually.

i don't have any numbers but the growth rate going now will generate some serious bud production down the road! check out my grow log for details and updates. if this thread starts poppin off i'll put up some porn to get people thinkin vertical!
does anyone else have crystals on preflowers at day8 of VEG? maybe CMH has something to do with this? usually start noticing them about a week into flower(~4 week old plants) in the past with HPS. anyway... i think they're sweet!

I honestly debate which yields more: Vertical or high density SOGs.....
![]() By yields more I mean grams per watt hour (g/wh)

In my case, it's more about use of available space - My new cupboard holds 80 x 15l pots in 3.5m x 1.75m footprint - If I laid them out horizontally, it would fill the room with no space left to even walk around!

mr celsius
are you talking about the veg time becoming a factor? if so there is ways of running a vertical setup with way more plants than you could fit in a flat garden(in the same space) without veg if that is a determining factor. it's easier to take care of 100 plants than 400 too. take a average 8x8 garden, that means your total growing canopy could be a max 64 square feet and that's wall to wall. but with 4 six foot vert setups fitting in the same space you "could" have somewhere near 4 times the canopy. and IHMO canopy=weight. vert is the way to go if you want big numbers in a small space. it's not for everyone, but if you have the skill to maintain a huge vert garden you will get rewarded kindly. i wouldn't be posting up a massive vert grow op if i was doing one but i'm sure there are some out there! vertical lighting is a whole other topic of it's own.

Vertical in a Wall of Green fashion offers the most potential in my opinion. You can position plants to catch the most possible light from the bulb with the least amount of loss. It also creates more work. However, it can not be denied that flat gardens have a large amount of the bulb's light traveling away from the plants and then back tracking toward them after bouncing off a less than 100% efficient reflector. |

Well I thought about it a little more.
Imagine a 3x6 table with 2 600w bulbs over it. Then imagine 4 walls that are 3' wide and 6' tall with 2 600w bulbs in the middle of those walls. 4x more 3x6 tables. But 4x more clones.... imagine having to take 288 clones... not to be envied.
