8th grade, before a dance.... LOL I can remember it like yesterday. Although, I did not get high the first time. That night, in a buddy's garage..... got high as hell.... Got the giggling, paranoia...etc. It was probably Mexican. Although I remember we used to get the Golden Buds that were seedless and we called Golden Bud... I also remember getting Thai Stick a few times from an older fella who was in the National Guard...

Smoked like a fiend for the next eight years... until 1980, when the USMC started operation Golden flow... (Urinalysis). Then it was MAYBE a total of 1/8 oz per year until I retired in 98....

I then picked up right where I left off! :smile: As a matter of fact, I just returned from a little camping trip up in the Smokey Mountains. I met up with BooBoy (OG MOD) and we had a GREAT time, kicking back, fishing for trout, and sampling a few different strains...

OG KUSH, Rockstar, Jack Herers White Widow, Nevilles Haze and some other "home-made" genetics.

I am heading over to Kryptonite's farm in a couple of days.... Then up to the Upper Penninusula of Michigan for a week or so.....

I love marijuana....

Well, must admit I haven't read this whole thread.

Started smoking at age 15, --- so that makes.. hmmmm...38 years. A few breaks here and there, but pretty much smoking either a little or a lot the whole time (there's more stories to tell, but not here

)
What got me started? the usual, friends smoking and telling me how far-out it was.

Recently kicked my old pleasures up a notch, thanks to several reasons, people, and sources; not the least of which is Gypsy's SD!! - hey, thanks again!

So cool to be your own "quality control" manager..

Sometimes I think about being 15 (or "young" and stoned), and it blows my mind - all the things we did and enjoyed

Here's to 38 more years

- not that I'm too likely to make it that far

I probably forgot that I already posted here.

I was about 14-15 and we got a joint somehow and took a ride on a rock-o-plane ride at a carnival called "The Pickeral Tournament". We laughed our asses off and I never forgot how the weed had enhanced my fun for the first time. That must have been in about 1968. BOG I was a regular pothead at 15 yrs old. Ever since every day except for one week when i quit after tripping out on acid.

OK, now, looks like I'm hailing from the #1 tokin state in the USA...Massachusetts. Been smokin the herb here since my teens, which is the early sixties. I'm 5 shy of sixty, now. F*ck, I don't believe I actually said that. Damn, time moves on.
Personally, I firmly believe this plant is sustaining my longevity. Have been knowingly living w/a deadly diease for 20+ yrs. So, I'm of the 'tude...if it aint broke, don't f*ck w/it. In this case, its my lifestyle, smokin herb regularly, among other things. Don't do drugs, though. Put that stupid sh*t behind me decades ago. Have been so much better for it since.
Just give me ma plant!!!
I want to give a big thanks to everyone here at ICMAG, and kudos to OG and its OGers, and a couple other sites, for helpin me get started w/cultivating this wonderful plant and being part of a cool kindred spirit.
And to Cap....I'm a big fan of yours.

Started at 13...my cousin, (who unfortunately is now a serious junkie

...heroine, coke, pills etc.

) got me started on the herb. That would be almost 24 years now...I'll be 37 this sept.

Never messed with any harder stuff, liked the herb too much and figured the rest was for losers who did not know any better...turns out I was right, just look at my cuz.

smoked everyday for a looong time...built up a resistance, and it took more and more to get high. So I quit for a while, started over, and was able to get my buzz easier. :wink:

Since we moved from MO to TX, haven't been able to find any, so of course that left us with one option...growing our own...Stankbud is doing the growing, and a mighty fine grow it is, if I do say so...

and truthfully, we're too damn old to go out looking for it...too dangerous.

Hey Guys... Im in the U.P. of Michigan. I left the trailer at Krypto's farm and drove up here without the extra weight.... I had a GREAT time at the farm!

Krypto grows some of the finest Cannabis I have ever tasted. He had a few nice balls of hash that had been sitting "curing" for over a year and they were probably the SMOOTHEST I have EVER tasted...

I'll probably hang here for a week or so and then I'm headed back down to the farm and spend a week or so... I think I may head down to the Keys after that....

Gypsy - You ought to be on this "Road Trip" this summer with me.... I just may never stop traveling! LOL

Ya'll keep those stories coming and most importantly, STAY SAFE!

I remember it well,
It was 1971 or 72, and led zepplin 2 was fresh on the turntable, my sisters album, the folks were gone for the day.Just out in the stores, and my first time hearing the mighty zep.
The doorbell rang, sis got it. it was her friend from highschool. Pretty soon another ring, then pretty soon im into zepplin so much im not paying attention anymore.
Three or four people gathered around by now, they were waiting for "wayne" to show up. My sister casually throws a lid on the coffee table, plop. Im sittin there eyeing it.
She says "what". I look at the pot. She asks, "Do you know what that is" I AM exited by now , "Yeah, Ha ha I sure do, That's pot"
She rolls a few and we go outside, wayne shows up while we are burning the first one. After the third duber, they start tossing me around and calling me "budweiser" I was only 9 or 10 and they played catch with me. I couldn,t stop laughing, that's why they called me budweiser- i was stoned so bad i couldn't walk straight. And them big ol highschool boys were messin with me throwing me five six feet across to another big boy.
How could I forget that one....My first sesh.

For me it was the last day of school. I had just completed the last dayof 10th grade,and a friend asked me if I wanted to try it. Celebrate what the hey. Smoked it on the bleachers out back of the gym. 31 years ago this past may.You slightly older stoners surely remember the huge $25.00 , 35.00 lids of weed that rocked your world. Red
Bud was the first. Been searching for good bud ever sense.
