Texans for Medical Marijuana Lobby Day

Let Your Voice Be Heard
Register for meals and transportation by January 31, 2005

A medical marijuana bill will be authored by Democratic State Representative Elliot Naishtat and co-authored by Republican Representative Terry Keel very soon. Come to the State Capitol and let your state legislators know that this legislation is an important issue for Texans. It is a matter of compassion, the right to effective health care, and for some patients a matter of life and death.

Medical Marijuana Lobby Day Schedule
9:30-11:30am
Lobby Day Training - located at the Robert E. Johnson Conference Center, 1501 N. Congress. We will be in the central and south rooms.
Breakfast (provided)
Address from a legislative staff person
Legislative visit role-plays
Explanation of handouts to give legislators
Breakout into small lobbying groups

12:00-2:00pm
Press Conference and Rally
Lunch (provided)
Presentations by bill authors, patients and doctors

2:00-4:30pm
Group Visits to Lobby Legislators

Groups of 3-4 people visiting legislators will include a spokesperson and a Capitol guide.

5:00pm
Turn in Visit Debriefing Form and Head Home

Would you like to come by a chartered bus? (We will only charter buses if 45 people from each city commit to coming.)

Are you a vegetarian (cheese, eggs OK)?
Are you a vegan?
