Well, I examined them again today.
One of the plants is covered with male flowers and I have put it outside for now, I almost culled it, but couldn't! The other was worthy of experiment. I removed all the branches that had male flowers, and all of the visible balls at the main nodes. I ended up with a much-reduced plant with no visible flowers. I will put it in a tent with a few plants that are nearly finished, and check it every day for new signs. So, I may have two viable females, one with no hermie tendencies, and one with moderate hermie tendencies. And one, outside, that is expressing its gender fluidity in this modern era. Dubi: if you read this, do you think that removing all visible male flowers is at all safe? They all appeared on the lower half of the plant, and there seem to be none in the upper half. (the other plant had them from top to bottom) |

So most of the photo rotating apps for your phone will simply change the orientation property which is probably stripped off the file when it's uploaded to icmag. I spent a lot of time trying different apps and most of them are useless garbage. There's one called photo crop that works for me on my android. Photo crop has an icon with a white background and a blue outline of a square with a line bisecting it at a 45 degree angle. If you don't want to edit your photos at all you just need to take them at the proper orientation in the first place. Which is probably with the top of your phone to the left in landscape mode |

They are covered with buds, that's why! They have a few male flowers, but bud clusters everywhere.
That is a good question, though. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best. If it weren't for all the buds, this would clearly be the simplest explanation. I think if you zoom the sideways photo you might be able to see their structure. I have other pics, but haven't uploaded them yet. |

It is hard for me to see pictures in the browser on my phone. In the close-up picture I see male preflowers. If that's what's lower down I would personally consider the plant a male. but there's been a recent argument about "is it a male Hermie or a intersex plant." I had a Panama Red male that I selected based on preflowers. Once it started flowering it grew female tops. Originally I thought it was because I had mistreated it and screwed up its light cycle. But when I went to flower a clone I paid better attention and I noticed right away that the male flowers started sprouting pistols.

These are Orient Express plants about 1 week old. 24 hours light might be the problem. 1 300 W LED and 3 60W equiv LED. Water PH was 7 at first but now ~ 6.5

When I first started growing I had some seedling OE that looked like this. In the end I narrowed it down to overly hot soil. If you are feeding them I would stop. If you aren't feeding them at all then I would recommend transplanting them VERY carefully into some mellower soil. When they are this small its very easy to damage or even kill them when re-potting so you have to have a very keen eye and steady hand when you scoop them up so you don't snap off the little fine roots. I have successfully transplanted seedlings this small and they noticeably pepped up and started growing properly within about half a week. That soil also looks a bit on the soggy side so you might want to also make sure you aren't over watering them.
