Sick DD Seedling...happened overnight..any help?

Hi everyone:

I have done quite an extensive search to diagnose this problem quickly but I still can't find any exact examples of whatever this is because most are of older plants. This is what I got from a seed that I am testing before I go all out...everything was going fine but today when I woke up the plants two most lower leaves were twisted up and had large brown spots throughout the leaves. The newer growth seems to be fine thus far. My initial suspicion is heat stress but I would like other opinions.

Sorry for the pic being out of focus...had to borrow a crappy cam because mine is out of town...and this was the best shot of them all..

thanks in advance for the help!

Hi D! Ar you using nutes in you water? Hopefully not-- also, do you know the ph of your water before giving it to your seedlings?

The burn your seedlings look to be a ph issue but dont know for sure until getting some more info.

You said in your post you thought it could be from heat stress. Yes, the temps seem high, so I would lower the temps.

Moreover, I would make sure you have plenty of drainage holes in the bottom of the cups!

Peace, Mosca

Hello Donatello,

I would drop the use of distilled water and start feeding with a mild nutrient solution.
I'm pretty sure it will pick up a few days after that.

Thanks guys...

Mosca: No nutes yet...and pH before I water is about 5.8

Gerrit: if I am planning on moving it into a hydro ebb n flow is now the time....or should I feed and wait a few more days?
