Here we go...
Since the last stoned post of mine they've really shown the loss in size but are going to be nice and fluffy I'm thinking. Not rock hard like the other. Be nice to have a little variety. Just a few more days and I'm thinking I might take a taste. And here is a fine example of why pot plants are covered in resin. Found this little fella in the top 1/8th of a flower from the plant I'm burning now. Fug'it - Let's smoke that shit... |

Didn't bother to weigh it all, but it was a nice pull. That long bud next to the tape measure was almost 3/4 oz. Not as dense as the shorter, harder pheno, but still pretty tight. Couldn't be happier with the smoke.
Did find one half developed bean in it though. Not sure why it started to herm and then only threw one little bean - haven't found any others. Who knows... Best pot around here though. Highly recommended. Broke everything down for the summer. Just getting way to humid down there right now. Another month or so and I'll get everything fired back up. Working out a new space as well. Much more stealth and away from the foundation walls - hate those hot spots on the IR you know. Later all... |

Howdy - back at it again for the rest of the beans in the package. Finally going to finish up this "test grow". So far it's 5/5 popped and sprouted. Couple inches tall and they're moving right along. I'll get some new pics up soon. Got 2 big tubs like above. 2 in each and going to scrog them. The fifth, I'll either somehow keep as a mom or just let it do it's thing on the side lines along with a few lowryder. Started 8 of those too, should get 50% females as my experience tells me. These rhino's though - wow, good shit. Just need that LR to tide me over so that I'm not pluckin' buds early from the rhino.
More to come... Last edited by SpacedCWBY; 08-30-2008 at 01:24 AM.. |

You needed (I know you are changing mediums)to add more perlite to create a more airy medium as well as it would drain nicely. On a more positive note...they look really good...great in fact.

Just finished reading the rest of the thread....some observations if you want them.
1. You can by a good potting soil from HD. Scotts® Premium Potting Soil With Fertilizer 1 Cu. Ft. Model 70751750 $5.96/EA Each And mix with a half bag of perlite. Miracle-Gro® Perlite 8 Qt. Model 74278300 $3.97/EA Each This mix should be fine for you and of course you can tweak it as you need to. 2. The leaf issue you saw mid way is because...one a leaf is damage from a nute imbalance...it continues to die and will never get better....only the one less affected will recover. 3. With this mix you may not have to feed right away so don't unless the plants ask for it. 4. Lastly as suggested by another poster...check your runoff water after watering....try to keep it around 5.8 to 6.4. Adjust as necessary. Disclaimer: This works for me and is just a suggested starting point. You seem to have the rest down pat. |

The four not in cups are the white rhinos. There is another WR in a cup - dark tub, upper left. Seems to be a dwarf of some sort - just slow to take off. Transplanted the other WR's last night. Hoping to scrog, we'll see what happens. We'll call the in the dirt date August 23rd. So 2 1/2 weeks along. They're starting to pick up steam. Excellent roots - they had the cups packed.
I'm sober as a jaybird - haven't smoked any pot in 4 or 5 days now and I'm rippin' pissed off about it. F-ing dealers and their games anyhow. Going to have to veg these a bit longer this time around to max them out so I don't end up buying crap pot again. Maybe look into an ac for next summer when it gets hot out. The 2nd pic is of a leaf that seems to be having some sort of issue. Light streaks are starting to form from the vein out to the tips. I put a couple Lowryder pics that came out better with the same issue below. Any ideas? These were Lowryders having the same issue - it showed up on them first. |

Well, I still haven't gotten around to getting new batteries for the camera. But I figured at least an update was due...
Scrapped the scrog idea and decided to LST instead. Two of them have responded pretty well and the other two I just let go back straight. They didn't seem to get the point of being hunched over. Broke the top off the biggest one tonight - hoping the bit of tape and support that I fixed it up with will allow it to heal. Damn thing snapped off just about clean. Right above the 2nd internode where things were really starting to happen. Other than the breakage, they're doing really well. The runt is still small, about 10" straight up. Probably won't be a big girl, but I'll keep her around anyhow. Should make a nice cola. Not having any chemical imbalances, the white spots quit showing up once I gave them a little go-go juice. Everything is nice and lush. Once again, couldn't be happier with the beans. Thanks again GH. I'll get some pics up asap. These batteries are crazy expensive though anymore... Later. |
