Soma doesn't even make his own seeds. Soma is now a brand of seeds. Soma is the great and powerful Oz behind the curtain.

Soma had some complaints about males in his feminized seeds, this is what he said...

Bottom line is Soma is selling Soma seeds at an incredibly inflated 'name brand' price, and he isn't even making the seeds himself. He is giving males and females to friends, then letting them grow them out and then he sells the seeds as soma brand seeds. Genetics are genetics I suppose, but quality control is an issue obviously with this type of practice.

Who cares where his friends make them...

Hmmm...he gets top dollar too.I bought a pk of NYCD way back when..2004 I think it was. 160.00.......they were not worth it.I now have some somango that hasn't really impressed us either.Not to bash Soma but as a man who is supposedly all about karma etc....this seems like capitalism at its best.

I think Soma is trying to make his genetics available to as many as possible... and in order to do that he has some of his friends help.

He says he deals with strict methods of breeding...yet he doesn't even test out the seeds before he puts his name on them. All he is at this point is a broker. He supplies genetics to friends....they supply beans to him. He slaps his name on them and you pay $150+ for something that turns out to be completely different from what you ordered.

I'm not saying what he is doing is wrong in any way. I'm just saying that's not my style and not the way I would want it to be done. I have no doubt that soma's genetics are solid...I just don't like the idea of paying top dollar for subcontracted work that is untested.

but what if your company gets to big to do all the work yourself,you saying you wouldnt expand

...and mistakes do happen. I should not throw stones. I was assuming the worse case scenerio where soma gives clones to friends, they do all the growing and polinating and whatever then return finished seed back to soma. When in all reality, that is probably not at all the case. I am sure soma is actively involved in all his ventures. I shouldn't assume anything, much less the worst.

I really don't have a problem with having help. Everyone needs help now and again... When you start to have to rely on others to do work for you it becomes alot harder to manage quality control. Thats all I was saying.

I suppose I have a bad taste in my mouth because I have tried several of Soma brand seeds, and have yet to find a good female that was as advertised. I've tried lavender, kahuna, and another one I can't recall the name of... I usually find at least one female I like in a ten pack...usually more.
