The...Im learning Hydro thread, by Harry Gypsna,
Hi there ppl.
I have finally taken the plunge and bought some hydro. I purchased two aquafarms this afternoon, I am going to set them up tonight. The plan is to buy another one every couple of weks and then the controller until i have 8 which is ideal for my flower room. I am basically posting here just to ask any1 who has got these, or had them and has any experience with them for advice, tips and the low down basically. 1st question, How long should i set the timer on the pump at first for a clone?? 2nd question, The guy in the shop says to have the pump not come on at all during lights off. Is this correct?? 3rd question, How big can i grow a plant in one of these babies, its the Aqua not the water, the big ones. any thing else that u guys can think of will be appreciated, this is my 1st real venture into hydro, i have a half built multi-flow ala HOG, but waiting to get all the controller bits, and i have a mommy in a home made DWC bucket, but this is my 1st attempt to grow from start to finish in Hydroponics. Thanks.

1) run the drip ring all the time imo. if you are using a rock or some type of medium that doesnt soak up like rockwool. so always run the pump
2) again i would just keep it on, no real reason to turn them off, and once the roots are hanging down into the water you want to keep oxygenating your water for them. 3) pretty big ![]() THC |

Hey,HG
I've been using the water farm for a couple years now (have 4 of them).I really like them, but I need to buy a controller,or make one-it looks pretty simple. For seedlings,I turn the pump off/lights out - I figure it's better to let everything dry off a little.I only do this until the 3 bladed leaves come out, then I just run the pump 24/7. For a clone, yep, like thc says - 24/7.Ditto on the growth!! Welcome to hydro - I think you'll be happy!! |

Maybe we can out our heads together and come up with a simple controller 4 em. Also, I am told that u can use the big ines, and the small ones on the same system connested up?? that would be good coz i could fit a couple in the gaps where wasted space is.
Im only using 1 plant per farm, im gonna grow me some more trees.

Sounds good Harry, let me know how easy they are to use, was looking at them once before but got a nft kit that i've never even used in two years (it's just 2 inches too big for my grow space, lol)
