Ok guys, my dude, claims there is a way he can tell if his plants are male or female while in vegetative..i was like,well, come look at mine and tell me what my plants sex is then if you can tell....he says he plants his seeds, and 30 days into veg, he can tell...but i was almost sure that most plants dont show until flowering? Am I tripping, or is he tripping?

Some plants will show preflowers in veg after they become sexually mature.

It's definitely possible, and likely your friend is telling the truth. Like MO said it all depends on the strain... and how long you veg them for. It gets easier to call the bigger the plant gets.

I called my Serious White Russians and THSeeds bubblegums all before flower this round with ease. This was a few days before I flowered, sex was quite obvious by this time on most:

ok, so my plants look like the plant on the right, atleast i think, the pic is really bright, so i cant really tell...but are both plants female, or both male, male and a female growerinshorts?

ok, now i see the little tags next to the pics...that sucks, i think all my plants may be male then... i dunno, ill try and take some pics tonight

i take a paper towel, or toilet papaer roll and place it over a branch in 12 days at most i see signs of sex

I use a magnifying glass & can tell sex eventually in veg.

no actually once ever 2-3 days i open it for an hour and abut half way through
(6days) i mist lighly only if looking wilted if not wilted leave alone. an old hed taught me that he only grows outdoors so when he switches strains hegrows em out and sexes them that way outside cuts his males and ends up with a few good seeds

OK, on all my plants, i can see the stipules...but i see no signs of pre-flowers, and ive got some plants, that are two and half feet tall...and i dont see anything,i only see stipules....
