Greenhouse seeds are back in biz!
Gypsy,
Are you planning to touch base with arjan to start carrying their new varieties? Here's a link for those intrested. www.greenhouseseeds.nl They have 3 new hazes and the Hawaiian snow and the older varieties. To check the seed list click on the seedlist at left. Many of the older varieties are probably F2's though so beware. |

So what is the standard genetics to pay for if not f2's? f3's f4's? How do you tell what a breeder is selling, do they put it labeled on the packs that they are f2's? |

Leeroy most arent labeled these days... and thats one of the major prob. when it comes to buyin seeds... you really dont know what your gettin into.
Im a big fan of F1's, and TBL's (true breedin lines such as all of Serious Seeds line of seeds are TBLs)......

Thanks for the info bartender, that helps me understand something ive been asking for a while now...
How does one know what seeds they are actually buying in terms of what generation they are....?? Unless its directly stated by the breeder or seed company, im guessing we wont know eh? |

Leeroy&Co
maybe thats why rez and bog do so well as they show their parent stock and their breeding is open for most to see not hidden away from everyone as most seed company's do. |

Harry Gypsana,
Arjan is the owner of the greenhouse coffeeshops.Shanti worked for arjan for some time after working with The seed bank,,,AKA Sensi Seed Bank. It is said that Shanti took his parental stock with him when he left Greenhouse. Arjan may have some parental material, but not enough to recreate these seed lines unless using F2 material and therefore it wouldn't be the same anywayzzz. You can NOT reproduce the original parental types from F2 seeds. You can however start "New" breeding lines from F2's as there are outstanding individuals among F2 seeds, but there are also some rather poor individuals to be found.I have personally found very nice plants growing out F2's but you have to "search". Bartender,' Serious Seeds are all F1's except Bubblegum, which is an IBL as you stated. Take care fellas........................ .........CC |
