Of course, I can't say what I might be entering, blind judging and all, but I will say it is a very unique plant with a very unusual high, probably doesn't stand a cat in hell's chance of winning but it will be distinctly different from the other entries I reckon. I'm hoping I can find a way of getting some samples of my other buds into Holland, British Customs love searching me so no chance am I carrying a sack of dank through an airport (never again! lol)

I didn't know there was a Barney's on Marnixstraat, must be one of Derry's new shops. I stayed in a hotel on Marnixstraat for last year's cup. I much prefer that part of town to the Red Light.

I've never been upto that corner of the Jordaan where Republijk is, at least I don;t think I have. Last year I got very lost trying to find the Katsu and walked miles east from Albert Cuyp Markt without seeing a single coffeeshop. I turned north after a while and worked my way back to the area east of the Dam and checked out Rusland and the Bluebird. How I never managed to find Katsu I don't know, I've been there a few times and thought I knew exactly where it was!

I am really bored of central Amsterdam, so if anyone wishes to escort me to any of the more interesting, off-the-beaten track coffeeshops, that would be great. Oh, and for FFS, can someone take me to the bloody Katsu! lol
Hi BH! Then you actually where close by the Barney's I'm thinking of... (Right a few blocks west from BB and Rusland, Popeye's and stuff.

De Republijk is a bit further that direction and outside of the shopping area, so it has a very chilled atmosphere IMO.

Hope we get a good time now!!!

Thanks for clearing up the fingerprinting situation at WW Sativa, it's good to know I don't need to avoid that place in the future, lol.

I was a bit further along Marnixstraat where there are only hotels and poh retaurants, Marnixstraat is really, really long, so I don't really know where you're talking about. My hotel was just behing the Melkweg so just south of the Leidseplein. Last couple of visits I mostly hung around the Spui area, largely becuase the Dampkring wasn't full of tourists at the times I was there and they have some really good weed and the girls that work there are all gorgeous and really friendly, last time I was there they dragged me out clubbing with them after they closed the shop. Some good weed at Dutch Flowers too and I like Tweede Kamer for a quiet place to chill out.

The Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory is a really good place to find info about the Coffeeshops, the map is pretty good, doesn't include every shop, but most of them. The reviews can be quite interesting too.

https://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/

The map is quite good but doesn't show all the shops:

Lol, I was gonna post that map BH, but I didn't have time, oh well at least I linked it, lol, and Karma Genetics, thanks for that man, it seems like I've been listening to too much hearsay. Are they strict on the 5g limit like we hear about? In Eindhoven, the 2 main coffeeshops were very strict with me, even when no-one was looking or listening - ok Saturday night's a bit "on top" we say, i.e. too exposed, but Sunday morning? come on, lol........maybe I just look like old bill (police) or something, lol

The prices in Maastricht are high though, is that definately correct? Like where's the best place to get buds and hash, for the best quality at the best prices.

Have you ever been to Heerlen as well? If so, how did you find the smoke?

Many thanks,

Peace

Cheers Capt, I've found some interesting bits of info on those channels before.

I have to confess, I've never been on a tram or a bicycle in Amsterdam, I prefer to walk. Caught a few of those bendy buses though, I highly recomment hopping on one outside Central Sation just for a joyride, go sit right at the back and man is it freaky when you get to a corner and the front half of the bus turns and you keep going in a straight line until what seems far too late to make it round the corner, when they do that at 60mph on some of the outer roads it is really freaky if you're well stoned.

I have sampled more than a few of the restaurants though.

I'm mostly interested in what nice hash is for sale this year, the judge's samples will keep me occupied anyways and I'm bringing a load of samples of my own buds with me anyways.

I found a site with all the coffeeshop menus:

https://www.black-arts.org/~reatta/menus.html

Here is the Kashmir Lounge one:

I like the prices, much better than in the Centrum and some hashes there I would like to try - Turkmeni sounds interesting, don't think I've ever smoked any central Asian hash. The Hia Bal (Per Bal), whatever it is and the texelse hasj and purple hasj sound worth a toke and for 3.10 a gram,, I reckon I'll sprinkle a couple of grams of Ketama into a latte, much better than a space cake! I fancy trying the Santa Maria buds too, always heard so many great reports on that one. Funny they have Planken on the menu too as that's another name for Santa Maria, comes from the Dutch phrase 'cash on a plank' referring to the easy cash that comes with growing the strain as it;s got immense commercial potential supposedly.

Here's the Katsu menus too for those who fancy a walk to the Albert Cuyp Markt:

I definitely fancy trying their African and Kazakh hashes and the Thai, Punto Rojo Colombia, Super Jamaican and Jamaican weeds, I can smoke all the indoor hydro buds I want anytime I like so when I go to Holland I like to find the strange and unusual varieties.
