cloning in rock wool ph
ok this might sound stupid but i need to know i went out got rockwool small cubes got home car broke and of course i realized i forgot the friggin ph stuff(strips and ph up,down) now it will be 3 -4 days before i can get this stuff unless i hitch hike, but is it possible to root clones without presoak to rockwool
or how can i presoak correctly without ph tester or should i wait, this might also important, the clones i want to put in rock wool have been soaking in water and have tiny root nubs already please help |

If your whole next crop depends on this then I would wait for the ph stuff. But if you have extra cuttings go ahead and just get the rw wet and take clones the way you ussually would.I have cloned before without checking ph or soaking rw.But when I did soak in ph adjusted rw for 24 hours I did notice my clones rooted faster. But If you dont have extra cuttings just wait the extra days.

Just to be awkward
When rooting in rockwool I don't bother PH balancing my water before soaking the rockwool cubes. PH is relative to nutrient uptake and at this point in the clones life they aren't taking up any nutrients so PH is irrelevant IMO. I don't PH my water in my aerocloner either and I have 90-100% success rate every time.
