G13 x Skunk from Shantibaba
I'm not new to growing, but I am new to 'name-brand' genetics.
What kind of phenotypes should I expect from G13 x Skunk? How much veg time for the rooted cuttings? How long is the flowering period under average conditions? Has this combo been dehybridized at all, or should I expect some 'genetic diversity' from the hybridization, when growing out further generations? Good germ rate so far...

Out of six beans sown, six sprouted
. Five are of one phenotype, and one is "the same, only more so" and significantly more vigorous. Of the remaining five, they all have the same growth habit and leaf structure, with the only exception being one that has significantly greener leaves, with an almost waxy quality to them. They all smell somewhat of powdered laundry soap - pungent but perfume-ish. Two of the six have shown, and are female. One of those two is the aforementioned really vigorous one (woo hoo)

how can you tell they're the same phenotype if you haven't fully flowered them yet?

Id expect flower times up to ten weeks she seems to show more sativa characteristics in flower...
Mine smelt very sickly sweet butterscotch like and were a potent smoke! Peace

Ok, bad choice of words on my part. They seem like they are the same pheno because as of now, for all intents and purposes, they are identical.

if it were my selection to make, i'd be looking for the least sativa (and therefore the least skunk #1) phenotype, since i believe this particular cross has skunk on both sides of its parentage... (g13xskunk#1) x skunk #1, if i've understood shanti's explanation on his own forum correctly. i haven't grown g13 myself in over a decade, but i'd be selecting for fat leaves that are more webbed than pinnate & a stout structure with little lateral branching. good luck!

None of them are "least sativa." I've so far encountered very little indica in this variety. The plants are tall and lanky, with sativa-like leaf structure, compared to the bubble gum and blueberry it is growing with. Definitely sativa-dominant. I guess I'll find out just how much when it stretches in the early flowering period...

Well, the first cuttings have rooted so I only have about 3 months left before I can judge what I have
