Bongs Casey Jones

My plants are looking pretty good so I thought it was time to make a thread.Im vegging under a 400w MH and growing in DWC with GH flora nova nutes. These were started late november and had some problems with water temps and etc but all is good now.I have one female and a male and the other two caseys look to be females too but haven't shown pistils yet.I will update weekly so stay tuned folks.

Thanks again to the H3ads for these seeds I won in the Halloween contest. They have turned into some beautiful plants and I cant wait to grow the g13-diesel.

are you gonna use the MH all the way thru or do you plan on using a conversion bulb later on? id like to see a straight MH grow, gives another variable to compare to. good thing you got those issues fixed, keep us updated.

I was planning on switching to a HPS bulb, the MH is the conversion bulb.I have seen people debating which is better for flower but im just not sure.Anyone know what is best to use?I usually use hps for flowering though but I might try the MH.Thanks for looking.Peace

Damn I wish i'd grabbed some Head seeds when they were around!

HPS is much better than MH for flowering. If you can supplement the HPS light spectrum with some MH you might get a bit better trich production, but in my experiments with Blue envirolights it doesn't add enough to justify it. In blind tests my pals couldn't tell which plants had the extra lighting.

For yield and best results, use the HPS bulb. Tried and tested a bazillion times.

Update: My best looking casey(Pic#1,2,3) is getting taller and bushier every week.My other two caseys(Pic#4 two in the back)are still growing good but were a little underfed for a while.I think I have three different phenos which is going to be interesting come flower time.

Also I decided to switch from MH to HPS for the rest of veg until flowering and the next day when the lights came on there were droopy so I changed back to MH and growth popped back up again. Can anyone tell me what the problem could have been?Im guessing maybe because it was used to MH and when I changed to HPS it was like what the hell? Some kind of insight would be good.

Im going to start flowering in a week or two,so stay tuned for the progress folks,Peace.

Sweet healthy looking plants B402N0g.I had a nice outdoor harvest of Casey Jones in 07 and currently have some indor at about day 37 12/12. You are in for a treat. I ended up keeping the darker of my 2 different phenos and the smoke is sublime! Good luck with your awsome grow.
