Ronley
There is not much one can do, its not like we were caught with our pants down as we all knew it was coming. Its an absolute nightmare, last week had about 15 hrs no power at work, get home, no power, had friends over friday night ( no power ), candles and a rechargeable lamp, gas cooker, and gas fire. Saturday same thing, frined over no power at my place. Being a stoner we sat with candels and the lamp on way after the elec came back, lol. There is not much we can do to be honest, save power, have power cuts, deal with it. Its a shame though.

Its a terrible shame. What city are you in? I read on one of the news sites that 500 people were stranded on top of table mountain until 01:am cause no electricity for the cable cars. The resturant organised food and drinks for everyone. |

I am in Johannesburg North, Ronley, the traffic is a distaster, a restaurant has recenty started next to my place 2 nights last week they were closed over dinner due to power, the cable car story is worse than what you heard, check out iol.co.za for news on that. Currently at work and we running on generators this moment. But lets hope things will get better as big business has stepped in to make a plan.

I live in Sandton and the blackouts are really very bad. At home and at the office it wreaks havoc, and the traffic!!
I only smoke with a vaporizer and that also only works when the power's on. It's something we shoudl get used to, but why?!? We've been paying our taxes and water and lights bills...

I love how during the summer there was a constant energy shortage but during the winter when we use the most electricity there wasn't a problem, Personally feel it was a ploy to get goverment to agree to the price hikes, third world goverments really do suck donkey balls
