Well i got some from the late 70's early 80's..
They still Germ....

Jiffy pellet work, or rockwool cubes. I like to soak my seeds in distilled water for 12-18 hrs. Soak the cubes, put in a seed and keep them in tupperware. Personally, I feel there is less chance of stressing the shoots when you transplant.
