My 6 all look very uniform. the only way to really tell them apart is aroma and one looks to be bigger and(so far) heavier yeilding( had a couple of balls on the big one, picked 'em off and they haven't come back).
They all smell great, one smells EXCEPTIONAL!
Smoked a microwave tester of some tiny low canopy budlets the other night, this may become my favorite smoke ever!

Blumats! Automatic watering!

Vertical Blumat grow

Blumat adjustment procedure: (for soil)In a bucket ,fill and soak units under water for at LEAST an hour. Then screw on cap( nice and tight!) under water making sure not to trap any air.
Leave dripper line at ~8cm. long.
Give the pot a good watering.
Insert B/M snugly into nicely compacted soil(not too loose) .
Open till water comes out, carefully close until just a drop barely forms.
Tighten 1.75 - 2 Arrows
Adjust as necessary for a few days, then leave it alone!

Doobie, sunny, thanks for taking the time to say whats-up.

Doobie, ya, those fans can get pretty big. next clone time around i will train the shit out of them and veg in my aero setup, then put into 4-5 gal coco pots. Then we will see fan leaves. In my rubbermaid aero setup, the leaves get enormous. a few runs ago i had and ICE from female seeds, the fans where over 14 in wide, and the length was 18 inches. freaky, named her seymour. (from little shop of horrors).

Also have heads g-13 diesels & sugaree packs unopened. Sometime soon. Gotta maked some serious decisions on the my current cuts.

When CJ's males show, im gonna separate them, pick one and collect his goods for future small projects, or try to see if i can locate some G acid, whichever.

Sunny, hopefully when things pick up into flower i can get some better descriptions out there, to get a better idea. I always like to know the most i can about any perticular plant i have.

So mr or mrs head, GDW billygoat, feel free to chime in at anytime. I know you may be lurking out there.

Morning gmanwho,

Good luck with your project. Glad to see things are going well for you. Good luck on the pollen collection. If you don't use it right away. Make sure you store it well and it's totally dry before storing. Nice to see others making seeds for future projects. I've kicked myself in the back side. For not making seeds of plants i grew in the passed. Now, I don't have access anymore to those genes and they are pretty much losted.

If you need any help. I'm sure myself and others. Would be more then happy to answer any questions you might have. Take care and good luck.
Later,
BG

Hey all, some small updates

Well, where of to the races. If racing towards the light is the finish line, then these babies are stretching there way there.

James, nice of you to say hello, glad you could check things out. Zoo, sorry u didnt get a chance to catch the casey last time, keep checking the head forums, im sure he may leak a little info here and there. Thats how i got my last g13 & sugaree. In fact, i ordered two sugaree's, but i then requested the other pack be put back so others can have a chance.

OK here goes the babiling , of the 6 i put into 12/12, 6 are female. WEEEEEEEEEHHHH DOGGYYYYY.

1 still under 18/6 showed its balls. I cut him, but, like an ass i didnt take a cut for future use, it may bite me later, but he had huge internodel spacing. So we'll see how it goes.

Leaving me with 6 females and 4 unsexxed monsters. this weekend the 4 will go to 12/12. due to space requirements they re not in there yet.

I wanted to add another light, i have another full 600 sealed setup, and the room to add it. But, my power bill was outrageous when i started using the dehumidifier.

12/12 has 2400k of lighting. 90 watt air pump, 120 watt 3600gph water pump, 90 watt water pump w/1/3 hp chiller (when it cycles on). 7000btu dehumidifier. 4 circulating fans & 100 watt fan on the scrubber. And a 400CFM fan pulling outside air through the sealed hoods.

18/6 is running 3 80 watt mag drives, 660 watts of t5's. 3 20 watt rez heaters.

No more power i can give them. I am thinking of shutting down the recirc dwc, and going all coco.

one thing is will say, it took about 15-17 days to show sex on the 12/12's.

When things start moving along i will post picks, thinking day 25 or 30 i will post updated picks with separated picks.

Im stoned, im babaling. Hope to show some love soon.

This is the question??

Ok, so i was thinking, this is the question. Since it took 15-17 days for my first 6 casey's to show signs of being female, should i count day 15-17 as day 1 of flowering?

Is this a trait of a more sativa plant?

No single pistol whatsoever until 15-17 days. So should i choose the first signs as day 1? Seems to me like a long time. No? Atleast longest i've experienced. Usually 10 or so days from seed, no?

I usually count the first full day of 12/12 as day 1.

Reason why i am saying this, is because they dont look like day 27, more like day 15-20? Any thoughts?

they are healthy and ph'd properly, so not looking as that is a cause fro the delay. I'm not bitching either, just curious.

head, sunny, joe. bong............anyone? Bueller?

Anycase, they are getting a transition regime of 3 mill pk 13/14, 3 mill cal-mag. and i then add half PBP grow & half bloom "soil formula" up to 1400 ppm @ 5.9.

Chugging along .....CHOOO CHOOOOO...

The other 4 went into 12/12 on the 20th..

Do you have any pics? I dont know exactly what to say without pictures but basically you should always wait till a plant matures on its own and starts growing pistils during veg.At that point the plant is mature enough to start flowering but ofcourse people flower when plants are not fully mature like your case because of height restrictions,etc..

What your plants were doing possibly is trying to mature a little more and now that their big enough they are starting to grow pistils. My plant is on its 11th day of flowering and it is showing pistils on every branch of the plant.

Again give us some pics and maybe I can tell you what day of flowering your plant looks likes its in.I imagine since you have been flowering for 15-17 days you would count that as the days flowering(Has it been stretching?) but since its just now showing a pistil I kinda understand where you could call it day 1 of flowering. That is kinda a difficult question so maybe someone smarter will chime in?

Bong thanks for shedding some thoughts. One important thing i said, which u may have missed was, they are at 32 or so days flowering, but didnt show pistols to 15-17 days in. so now, 32 days old into 12/12, but look like 17-20 or so in development.

I always view my trichs under microscope near the end and decide off of that when to chop.

But for example,on a 65 or so day strain, at day 30-45 i like to run a certain regime. But if the calender says day 30, but i look like day 20, then i shouldnt be running my day 30 regime for certain reasons.

I have 8ft ceilings, but that doesnt mean i want an 6 1/2ft plant. i want a 3 1/2 - 4 ft plant.

I sent them to 12/12 at approx 35-40 days of veg at 20-30 inches. More then mature enough i would think. In actuality, they where in low light veg for an additional time. so if i was to count, from seed, they where over 60 days in veg. But had low nutes, low lights at first. MORE then enough to mature one would think.

If i waited longer, and without topping, they would be 6-7 ft now easily. ohhh Ya they stretched. they are about 4ft -4/12 ft now. stretched easily 12+ inches. some more.

Think i may be looking a little deeper then i probably should. sometimes i bypass the easiest explanation.

But, your point on the plant not mature enough seems to hold weight.

SoWhat im gonna go by at this point : I think what the plant is telling me is i am at day 20 of flowering. but my calender says day 32. to make things easy for math, im subtracting 10 days off my calender of 12/12. i will see at the end what is true.

Or another thought, like some other strains are not gradual growers, they start slow, but explode in later flower and look like the never missed a beat.

ON A SIDE NOTE: if heads watching and thinking this, i am not that mother f'er that puts down any strain for one botched grow. And even if So, i wouldnt. Dont look at this thread as if i am, Cause i am certainly not. I am just a very curious person by nature and veryyyyy open minded. So please, throw some thoughts this way.

Pics will be coming soon, this sunday, i promise.

It's always so hard to communicate a feeling by typing it out, Sometimes my words just dont come out right.

I've had plants that look to be slow starters end up packing on and finishing up relatively quickly... When judging the start of 12/12, signs of the plant being sexually mature are at least as influential as height considerations... Plants from seed have to grow to a point of sexual maturity until they will flower, so a few days early could delay flowering a few days... I'd say a 40 to 50 day veg to reach maturity, but some will be faster or slower... I've seen plants show signs of sexual maturity after 25 days and I've seen it take over two months, so there is quite a swing, but I'd average the casey's at 45 days...

So my answer is yes, delay your regimen to sync up with where you think they appear to be...
