Drying Temp/Humidity
What do you guys think about drying something at 45 degrees F and about 25% humidity? Maybe someone who has done this before?

I have never gotten it that cold, not with control at least.
I have a drying chamber that I made, I was able to due 68 degee temp with a humidity of 32% at starting. As the bud dries humidity will go up, moving out the older air and bring in cool low humidity fresh air. It worked great, must keep air moving inside the chamber thu. Now this last run was dried when I had a cold spell hit the area. I had high's in upper 40's to 50's. It took much longer to totally dry, but basically all worked just fine. This time I just used card board box's and hung all the bud up in them. Visit twice a day to aireate and rotate position of box's for a week, then once a day for a week, and then into the jar's it went. If my memory serve's me correctly it was about 47 degree's that I lost leaf off a plant from the coldness and it just seemed to be dead material, bud's did great over the next week and it made a nice harvest, but there was damaged leaf from the cold temp's. Please keep this updated with your result's if you do try it, as I am interested in the result's. How are you going to control the 45 degree temp air? Take care and grow safe. realhigh. |
