S O M A - Your Book And A Couple Questions
I'm having a little difficulty understanding a couple things from your book.
#1 - Your vegetative cycle...your book explains the transition from pot to your grow bed as follows: Now I am ready for planting. The plants have been growing in a vegetative room under 24hrs light in 2 liter pots. Since they have rooted, I've been growing these conditions for about three weeks or about 12 inches tall. I put twenty plants in each bed, four rows of five plants. Since I use a rich soil, not much is added during the three weeks of vegetative growth. Around the third or fourth week, the lighting is changed to a 12/12 regimen and the plants are now entering the flowering phase. My question is.... Are you growing from rooted clone to 12" in pots, transplanting to your grow bed, and growing vegetatively for another 3 to 4 weeks in the beds before initiating the 12/12 light cycle? #2... You say you aim for 77F flowering temps. I am assuming a 10 degree drop from day to night. You also say that cold temps can stress a plant. What do you think is too cold? I am having decent daytime time temps but the nights are dropping low (upper 50's). Too cold? |

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I think they are going to get blue/purple colors and grow way slower, but then again, it can get so cold when growing outdoors, so I don't know. Soma is going to know better.
