Plant Nutrition
OK guys, on my quest for some awesome MJ, im trying to find out what else i can give my plants to help get better results, already right now, i tihnk my plants look great, they look really grean, nice and healthy, ive got 4 Mango motherplants a small plant i plan on making a mother plant, and about 16 clones from my mango motherplants...all look very healthy, my clones have only been in my (top feed/NFT/ re-circulating system) for about a week...
As of right now, i am giving them 1.6 per gallon of GH flora seried nutes a drop per gallon of hydrogen perxide( for the REZ) 20 ml of CAL-mag recomended amount of espom salt ph down diamond nector Im basically really intrested in results of what everyone has been using...and descibe what good results you got I really want to know how people can get those awesome trichomes cause im sure some good feeding programs really set that off for the plants nutrition.. Thinkin about going all organic, but i dont know enough about it yet to try that..any personal help you guys have would help me...thanks |

My advice is to hold on the h2o2 as you will get covalent bonding of your nutrients. this is also called lockup. If you wish additional aeration and sanitation from h2o2 then run it in between nute changes or remove nutes and run for a few hours and then replace the nutes. There are several bloom boosters availible that I would use during that cycle. Cannas Pk13/14, Monsterbloom, Ka Bloom (under a new name now)etc add to bud weight. And don't forget to include a pest control if that arises( and it always does!) like some neem oil, pyrethrum or triple action 20 etc. Good Luck!

the next thing I would like to add is this, Mango is a very leafy strain, at least mine is, it also does not like to stretch much at all, just flower's at the height it was when you went 12/12, maybe a inch or two of bud growth durng this floral stage, but not much more than that.
I see to much Mg in your mix, if you use Cal/Mag and GH together all is fine and no need for epsome salt. This is a rough estimation, but 1/4tsp of epsome salt's equal's near 30ppm's of Mg per gallon of water, I do believe I calculated it correctly some time ago. I do not get into additive's for floral stage, maybe I might increase yield, but to me that is not the answer to bigger and better bud's, it may help alot, but I think the grower can spend time with the plant and try different way's until they find what that plant love's to do, then production pick's up along with bud developement and at this point I would use the additive's to see what they do to improve upon what the plant already does, put out some solid top grade bud's. I just think to many additive's are bieng used and to much time is wasted on them, only because I do not use them, at least right now. It is all a grower's choice as to how and why we do what we do, but it is all the same in the end, we would like the best top grade bud that we can get the girl's to produce. Enjoy your time with them, they are not around for very long. Best Wish's to All. realhigh. |

20ml of cal-mag, why so much, the bottle says 5-10ml per gal. I just started using it instead of epsons at 5mls per gal and havent really noticed any improvment. I'm using GH 3 part which always seems mag def.

the 20 ml is what i add threw out the 15 gallon rez plus extra water that gets added into it, making it some where around 20 gallons of water, i do not at 20 ml per gallon, i did read the directions, i just thought adding small amounts of both epsom salt and cal mag, it would even out with the plants

I've found that there was a noticable difference in trich production was when I dropped the humidity from around 70% to under 60 and kept my loose rockwool in buckets on the dry side during the last 3 and a half weeks. The only way I could get it under 60 was with a de-humidifier and found it just wasn't cost effective PLUS it didn't add to the high at all.
