4 of 6 confirmed males today.
with the other two yet to show, for certain, but look to be following in the other 4s footsteps. id say we'll know, definitavely, in a few days more.

might actually be 100% males...!!
odds really stacked against me this time, huh?

aw well...you never know with S1s....and i know someone woulda done it. but im afraid luck wasnt in my side with them S1s....

IF the other two somehow DO end up being females, ill be sure to let you all know.

in the meantime, i just might be getting to my original REZ stock alot sooner than planned.....

maybe some chemdawg double d and some double strawberry diesel sharing quarters?????

Hello Hub, just a quick question for ya. What was the stretch like, 2x, 3x, just curious, I'm planning on getting some and I have a somewhat limited grow space.

as far as stretch, i would say it was slightly above average stretch.....
2.5-3X would be a safe assumption.

[again, just to clarify, these had a prolonged veg...(50days)....and were in a decent sized pot (5gal) and flowered under 600w HPS.....so tweak those setting to your personal situation....to give you a good guesstimate.....]

if one had height issues with chemdawg double d, id recommend either LST, or topping/training. i feel that with good technique and methods she could be grown in any (reasonably) sized situation as long as the enviornment was what she considers comfortable. but, honestly, she isnt exactly a compact plant. she does have skunk heritage....

unfortunately, i forgot to add the tapemeasure in the background for reference.....but this will KINDA give you an idea on what I was working with....

that first shot, she was approx 24inches tall and ended up very close to 4.5ft. so she doubled. so 2-3X stretch would probably suit the gambit of the chemdawg double d line. pheno depending, of course.

sorry to be so long winded, but, questions about stretch can be tricky questions. sometimes a longer explination is required....

If these seeds are selfed... or from nanners on a female plant....

how can these be males....

My understanding selfed female seeds result most often in mostly herms and the rest females.....

exaaaactly.

were dialed in too, pepe. actually if anything were running a LITTLE cool. at 74F
and at 35%RH, good constant fresh air and 600W of inside sun youd think theyd feel like they in club med.

i was always told "not always, but more often than not, fem plants will emerge from S1 stock"
take it for what you will as i certainly have.

ive run S1s in the past and have had great success.(prolly ALL fems actually from what i remember) but ive never done more than 1 or 2 at a time. this is my first 'batch' if you will. so far...4 out of 6 straight up males. no doubt about it. balls all over it. either that or its a herm that leans HEAVILY to the male side of things....very well could be i guess....but they are very unwanted nonetheless.

other 2 are still up in the air but look to follow directly in their footsteps.
ill be certain to keep you posted.

side note....

we know with certainty that its NOT light leaks.
been THOROUGHLY tested before and during this, and every other rotation we do. its part of out PM routine. our equip aint getting any newer....but there are.....NO.....LIGHT....LEAKS. ...just to curb that one from being tossed around as a potential problem. were 100% darkness when its nite time. weve stood in it for a half hour. NO light. not even a PINHOLE.

im not all that worried. crap haps.
ive got plenty of original seed stock left and apparently will be getting to them a lil sooner. but, i would steer clear of S1s of this strain until i/we can pin down whats causing such high male ratios. very well could be us doing SOMETHING.....who knows?

take it for what you will. but i was on the same boat as you pepe, until this rotation. dont think ill waste the time much anymore with S1s. ill stick to cuts.
glad it wasnt MY space wasted for this lil test.......

you know...i thought about it, grizz....
and me either. until now. not even a herm from the notes ive gone over and the memory ive jogged. ran a few S1s too....bubbledust....blueberry ....bubba kush....to name a few....but never more than 1,2,or 3 of em at a time until now.....

all with good female results.



calling them straight up MALES might be err on my part. hermie MIGHT be a better term here, but, man...if you saw all dem balls youd think it was old fashioned college sausage hang. if there was a calyx at the party she was sure hard to spot.....
