Hopefully Soma reads this and responds directly. I'm going to be in Amsterdam in February and want to ensure that I'm getting the best from the best...SOMA. I read some threads where individuals were complaining about germination rates, fake beans, etc. Alot of people were ganging up on Soma and blaming him for a variety of different issues. Disregardless, Soma's reputation precedes him and he obviously wants to ensure that his name and good faith is not damaged by others deliberately or inadvertently.
I checked out Soma's website and it indicates that he does not sell "retail" just "wholesale" to official distributors. I searched around the website and for the life of me, I couldn't find any link to any distributors. There's a paucity of information about how someone can in fact get these luscious and rarified strains directly from the Master (or from a source endorsed by him...). So the question begs to be asked: How can a fan get things from Soma in the 'dam? Soma, if you have any advice please let me know. Yours in Health, AccessNDX P.S.-Soma...keep up the good work. People DO appreciate you and people are empathetic to the legal woes you've had. |

Thanks....
Doc...thanks for the info. Rest assured I'll be there to check it out firsthand.
Soma...I'll assume since you didn't respond in the negative that doc's comments are spot on. I'm looking forward to getting that sogouda. What I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY looking for is a dependable INDOOR high potency, high yield SOG friendly PURPLE STRAIN. Yes, yes....I know the anthrocyanins can make the nugs burn all harsh....but purple strains have always held a certain mystique.....they certainly stick out. I was just reading "Big book of buds 3" by Ed Rosenthal....there are 2 distinct purple strains that are only carried by the "APOTHECARY" in the U.S.. There's something called Granddaddy Grape Ape. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anything like this in the 'dam. And in the U.S. these strains are on lockdown....with no seeds available...only clones to the medical co-ops. (sigh). Looking at Soma's varieties....it appears that the lavender and the amethyst buds are the ones that are dependably purple. Anyone have any luck with these strains indoors and have any info about taste, yield, overall growth, etc? Thanks, AccessNDX |

Yeah... lavender is an awesome variety for outdoor or indoor with bluer tendencies that come out with ~<>65 degrees, blue nutes/alkalinity, + genetics. She can be vegged a long time for huge multi-branched/topped outdoor plants or kept short for nice fat Indica style lavender indo. I believe she is about 80% Indica and she has a nice lavender hashy taste. She makes awesome ooey gooey gummy ice hash with bluish tones.
soon come photos... |

The site is not gone...
Soma,
I just followed the link to www.somaseeds.com. A little banner pops up and says "Are you interested in Marijuana?" "Click here for weed from Amsterdam!". When you follow that link, it takes you to this site: https://www.amsterdammarijuanaseeds.c...d=411961106210 The site displays "Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds" and has the usual type of pictures and whatnot from seedbank sites. Here's the whole problem: someone does a search on the internet for "Soma" or "Soma seeds" and they're going to get potentialy confused and visit that site. Even if they don't come right out and say "We're not Soma" or "We don't represent Soma" or "We don't even carry Soma products..." it's causing a dillution of "good faith" and it is at the very least some form of copyright/trademark/intellectual property infringement. Additionally, any inept, inane or illegal things that they potentially do has the ability to trickle down and at least cause some inconveniences for you. I'm not certain what authority or power your lawyer has to bar them from using the www.somaseeds.com domain name, but I'd have that thing pulled out like a fishook as soon as possible. It's just not cool that they can do that. Imagine what would happen if I opened up a www.coca-cola.com website or something that was using essentially the same name but with a hyphen or character that would make it different enough to get some traffic diverted to my site. I'd be in the slammer before the first person logged into that page! This isn't a dispute that there is in fact 1 true and verifiable website for Soma as illustrated in other replies to this thread, but it's an acknowledgement that the "cat is out of the bag" on this issue and it's already potentially damaged your name. Instead of the domain name being stripped away, it's still a residual page that points to a competitor that is hiding behind your identity. It's in fact a type of identity theft and believe me you should nip this thing in the "bud" (no pun intended) asap. I've taken alot of time to trademark/copyright and otherwise protect intellectual property that I've developed. I wouldn't let anyone infringe on that. It's your legal right to defend yourself. Just out of curiosity, is there a process that's analogous to the USPTO (US PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE) in Amsterdam? How difficult is it to "brand" your name with the little (TM) or (R) out there? If it isn't, I'd look into it seriously and find a lawyer that will work on a percentage basis to go after those clowns that are fraudulently and inappropriately copping your identity. Sorry for the rant. AccessNDX
