PH and PPM questions
ok guys, stating to wonder whats up, i keep checking PH and PPM every day , both keep going up a little day, now i was expecting at some point for the ph or ppm to drop atleast a little...but as of so far...the last 8 days, neither has dropped...i keep my ppm at 960 in the 7 week of veg...these are my mother plants...and the ph around 5.9 to 6.1
thanks guys |

Most growers would gladly take your situation with stable ph rates! As the solution is used by the plants the concentration in it will rise. If you top up it will get closer to the original reading, lower the ppms to 600 for Mothers,as they don't need faster growth or they will get too large! The ph of hydro solutions is generally run a bit lower at 5.1-5.8 but as MJ comes from all over the globe each strain has its own needs so if you aren't experiencing any def. symtoms then you're fine. I replace Motheres after regeneration slows and flower them out, pick a clone wtih good vigor and you're set.

your pH and PPM will rise and fall according to what the plant needs. They are holding because they are happy at that current level. Since you are not requiring much from them then just growing slow, it won't fluctuate much.
400PPM is terrible water!! anything over 150-200 is hard water. I am using Ionic Hard Water Formula because my water is 200PPM out of the tap. As long as there is no signs of def or burning ....let em ride. |

me too......I think Santa is bringing one this year. If not, will purchase after the holidays.....maybe find it cheaper then
Badmf was correct in saying to keep the moms around 600 or so. Keep them from getting to big too fast on you. Just watch them......you seem to be doing things right for them |

Los Angeles has tap readings of 8.3 and ppm fresh at 320 and after 24 drops to 260. Most citys recycle tap and use lots of chems in it so waiting 24 is standard!

Badmf, you mean you wait 24 hours before you use the water that you get from your tap?
