annaC got it from ths
where theirs came from i don't know. I would expect a long flower time from a SE Asian weed. i have not grown Burmese Pure, so i would not know. i figured it would have to go long as well.

about BuKu
I do wish I knew what THSeeds used to make BuKu with but I don't have a clue. I grabbed them from the Boutique when I was visiting with OP back in Dec 06. They had just been released along with 0 Gravity so I grabbed a pack of each. The BuKus were supposed to be an indica with a short flowering time but we all know that is not the case. The original BuKus took up to 15-17 weeks to finish and it's pure sativa. I researched the other boards and sure nuff others were reporting the same data which told me it was not an isolated incident and it was most probably a simple mis-label from the "factory." It was no big deal for me but I can understand others concerns as to the mis-labeling. I grew it out according to what I saw and not what it was labeled as.(patience is but a virtue:wink and to me it is one of the best sativas that I have had in a long while. I decided to work with it and see if I could shorten the flowering time so I took a early flowering Buku male and bred it to my fastest female which was at 15 weeks and I made the BuKu F2s and sent them to seedbay as freebies along with the correct information. I have tested the new BuKu F2s. I started them straight from 12-12 and they still grew to over 12' tall under 1- 600watt HPS. It's still a monster but the F2s are much quicker to finish at 12+weeks. They don't need any veg time which also speeds up the grow. Here are a couple of shots of the dried goodies. I have images of them in full bloom and I will try to find them and post them later. ![]() ![]() love to all. annaC |

AnnaC, I wanted to write that I also grew out your Buku F2's, and got 1 super awesome 10 week sativa dom girl, sticky and sweet and smells like cedar and tastes great also, with a nice uplifting high. A couple of the others looked good also, but were taking too long for my garden. I crossed that one female with the SD IBL , when it's grown I'll email again. take care, thanks for those awesome seeds!

Yes this thread is two years old.... Did anyone ever end up with the "7 week" pheno from original stock?
I was recently gifted a clone of the "BUKU". It gives me an up heady high, peppery taste with some lemon i'd say. I have to assume this is from TH stock, it was from a friend who probably got it from his old timer friend. All i truly know is that its is called BUKU, it seems to finish up fast, but my last run was seeded up, so we'll see. It definatly didnt take 14 weeks though. It is decent heady smoke, okay yeild, pretty nice smelling. It was hit with Sour D/Strawberry D pollen, but im almost afraid to start them. I dont want to muck around with any 16 week hempy phenos I may have unlocked. |
